Bon Lab Bubble Tea & Desserts — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I go here often so this review is to bring awareness to the business owner. I came in during Mother's Day and ordered 4 Thai desserts and one avacado smoothie. It took well over 45 minutes for the Thai desserts and the worker at the time made the avacado smoothie first so it ended up sitting on the counter the entire time. I asked how long the Thai desserts would be finished and the workers didn't give any explanation other than it was still being worked on in the back kitchen. When I received my order and asked what was taking so long, the worker said that one of the ingredients needed to be made however this was not communicated to me during the entire time I was waiting. Furthermore the worker said next time I should call in advance to ask if something is in stock. This simply doesn't make sense because no boba business operates like this. They should inform the customer before ordering if there are any wait times. The avocado smoothie ended up being warm and a milkshake consistency. It was not enjoyable. The worker compensated me by giving a free small pudding. I would have rather much appreciated if the workers had...

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars - the quality is amazing, the customer service is some of the best I've had in a long while and the taste? Well, we had to go two days in a row while visiting Winnipeg because it was THAT good. I even brought an extra one home for later 😂

Now, please note that you will likely have to be patient after you order, especially at busy times. The owners make every drink meticulously, and as I mentioned the quality is top notch. On my second visit, it was less busy so I had a chance to chat with the owner while he made our (large) order. He was super friendly, gave me samples and extras, and was just a pleasure to talk to. My husband is Viet and he LOVED the fresh-made puddings we took back home too!

So ya, go visit this place. It should be MUCH higher on Google...

This shop is so welcoming and local Vietnamese owned. They have a wide variety of drinks and sell desserts. The drinks are made with real fruit instead of powder and are very fresh tasting! The owner, who was working the register was especially nice and gave recommendations of drinks. Street parking in the front is limited but there is parking located at the back of the store as well. I order a Thai dessert that had a variety of exotic fresh fruit. The owner said it was not on the menu yet but he would be able to make it for me.
