We recently purchased a home theater system and a Samsung OLED 77-inch TV from Visions Electronics Pembina, Winnipeg, and our experience was absolutely outstanding. Tahsin, one of the sales associates, provided exceptional service throughout the entire process. His professionalism, patience, and friendly attitude made this the best shopping experience we’ve ever had.
When we first visited the store, TAHSIN took the time to give us a full tour of their audio room and explained everything in great detail. He demonstrated how their setup works, showing us how to use the buttons to switch between different speakers, including tower speakers, bookshelf speakers, subwoofers, and ceiling speakers. This setup allowed us to experience the differences between the various audio systems and truly understand how the components would work together. Tahsin also demonstrated how the AV receivers would function with different speaker setups, giving us a hands-on experience that was invaluable.
Initially, we selected a different brand for our home theater system and placed an order. Since some of the items were not available in-store, they ordered them from other stores across Canada, and everything was ready for pickup within a week. However, during that week, after doing more research, we changed our minds and decided to switch to Klipsch products. When we returned to the store, Tahsin was incredibly understanding and accommodating.
He helped us redo the entire sound system testing from scratch in their excellent audio room. Again, he provided us with enough time to compare AV receivers, bookshelf speakers, tower speakers, and subwoofers using their switchable setup. Tahsin patiently answered all of our questions, explained the differences between each option, and ensured we made the right decision for our needs. Ultimately, we decided to go with Klipsch speakers and a Pioneer AV receiver for the best fit for our requirements.
As of now, we have received two Klipsch RP-8000F II tower speakers, one Klipsch subwoofer, and the Pioneer AV receiver. The current setup reflects these items, and we are extremely satisfied with the performance so far. However, the other items including the Klipsch center speaker, bookshelf speakers, and height speakers are pending.
Tahsin went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied, even staying well past store hours to help us finalize our choices during a sale. At no point did we feel pressured to make a purchase, and he left the final decisions entirely up to us, always respecting our preferences.
Visions Electronics Pembina, Winnipeg has an excellent team, but Tahsin’s dedication and customer-first approach truly stood out. We highly recommend this store, and if you’re looking for expert advice and a stress-free experience, be sure to...
Read moreInexcusably bad buying experience. See bottom of post for update.
Over two weeks ago I bought a sale item that was not in stock, but I was assured would be delivered within a week and that "Visions would call me" when it arrived. I did not yet realize that I would hear that phrase "Visions would call me" repeated many times. Not having heard from Visions I called up to ask about the status of my purchase. I was told it was "in transit" which was odd since it should have arrived by now. I asked if someone could look into it and I was told "Visions would call me" to let me know where it was at and when I could expect it. The day passed with no call so I call back the next day. Now the salesperson says he will contact the Regional Manager to find out what's going on and call me "right back" once he has spoken with him. You guessed it - no call back. The next day I go in to the store which at least sparks a sales person to actually check the recent deliveries but to no avail. I insist on speaking to the manager who gets on the computer and discovers that the item was only shipped the day before. Apparently it fell between the cracks (canyons?) in their 'system'. So now I realize it never was 'in transit' before. I ask when I can expect it "Tuesday or Wednesday next week". You guessed it, Tuesday and Wednesday (and now Thursday) have come and gone with neither a phone call nor my item. I am still in limbo and no one - ever - has reached out to me about this purchase that is now going into its 3rd week.
If you would like to receive the same "quality" of service then I encourage you to try Visions. What could go wrong???
Update: 3 weeks post-purchase, still no contact from store, they still have my money, and I have nothing to show for it. Have contacted customer service which was next to useless as all they offered was to call the store and ask them what's going on. No one seems to be able to see where the item is in the delivery system!!! Anyone heard of electronic tracking?? Anyone?
Finale. A short while after speaking with customer service I received a call from the store - they have my item! This got me wondering how long they had had it and when they would have gotten around to telling me had not customer service prodded them on my behalf. When I picked up the item from the store and asked for an explanation I was not given a satisfactory answer. Again, a demonstration of poor service.
Happily the item was new and in good condition, just very frustrating that it took this kind of ordeal to get my hands on it.
Conclusion: Buy elsewhere if you possibly can if your purchase depends at all on any kind of 'service' from employees...
Read moreI went to this location to buy a product they carry. A salesperson AKSHAR (and I use that term loosely for this person)told me they didn’t have it at their location but the 1 at St. James location did. Then he said he would ring up the sale and then I could go there and pick it up.. I said no that’s fine I’ll just go there instead. He said he would call to confirm because the computer showed only 1 in stock. Well…. Wouldn’t you know it he said”sorry it’s out on hold for another customer. But I can order it for you from our Calgary location and get it there within 2-4 weeks. So I went to the regent store(close to home) stopped in there and asked Manny an absolute excellent SalesMAN!! I asked him about the same product and he said they don’t have it at the regent location but .St.James did. I stated that I was told from the Pembina location that, that product was on hold and not available. Well he called and “in fact” IT WAS AVAILABLE! He called and confirmed it. I bought it right away there to make sure it didn’t get sold on me. Then drove to that store and a salesmen from there walked over to the shelf grabbed me 1 and gave it to me. So after all that, a waste of 1 1/2 hours drive time and being LIED to by AKSHAR. I got the product I wanted. I spoke with the salesman at St.James and there were 3 of them there if they had received a call from AKSHAR and the Pembina location about it and not 1 of the 3 could confirm he even called or asked about it. And “IF” the product was on hold like “AKSHAR CLAIMED IT WAS” then why did the salesman walk to the shelf and grab it. If it was on hold it would have never been ok the shelf being there was only 1 in stock. In todays day where customer service should mean something to your store, as well as reputation for honesty it sure didn’t seem that way at this location. I say all of this and hope the district manager sees this and speaks to him about it. Lying to a customer for the sake of a few dollars commission will tarnish and ruin your reputation. AKSHAR shame on you and I hope lots of people read this and see what’s happened and don’t deal with you. Enough said. Overall Visions is a great place and I’ve dealt with them for 20 yrs now and will continue to do so, just not here and I hope others go elsewhere as well. In the end if you have to drive a little further it will...
