The pizza was great, the place itself was fine and the service seemed to be ok until we got the bill. There was only 2 of us, 1 large pizza, 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer. Not a complex bill. We noticed that there was an extra wine on the bill. Ok, fine, let the server know. However, as soon as we started to say we had a problem we got cut off and she was sorry and blah blah, "I'll sort it out". I hadn't even gotten to explain what the problem was, she already knew! So...why didn't she fix the problem with the extra drink BEFORE giving us the bill? She was trying to scam us, that is why. When she brought back the amended bill she made up some BS excuse about the bar tender ringing up two drinks and said that she even made a comment along the lines off "Is one of those for me?" So if she knew about it BEFORE then why didn't she fix it before? Scam, that is why. If you eat here, make sure to check you bill!
EDIT - Ok, so I thought that was an isolated incident and because all my friends were going to a different BP I decided to go to. BIG MISTAKE. I got one beer for me, 5.44 ish and one cider for my lady, 6.53 ish. so let's say a total of $12. I gave the waitress a $20 wrapped inside the receipts and told her it was for those two drinks. So I wait. And wait. All my friends were leaving or left and still no sign of her. So I go inside and she tries to walk right past me. I said Hey, yeah, I'm just waiting on some change. She was all "Oh you paid for the two drinks right". Yeah I gave you a 20, they were only like 12 or 13." She pulls out a check wallet full of cash, gives me a 5 and says "Oh, I've no small change". So I just said it was fine but come on, I mean, is scamming the customer part of the training in this...
Read moreOur family had a received a gift card for Boston Pizza so decided to order takeout this past Saturday evening. We've never been big fans of this place, but thought that we'd give it a go & enjoy a somewhat decent meal.
That didn't happen. We one of their combo meals - you get a medium pizza, pasta dish and salad for $32.99. On top of that we ordered the artichoke & spinach dip with bread. We struggled to eat any of it.
We're not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, but it was garbage. The sad part is that Boston Pizza isn't new to doing takeout or delivery. They should excel at this.
We're only a couple of minutes from this location, but by the time I opened the pasta it was cold, and on top of that tasted like canned pasta...like the stuff we all ate as kids. Flavorless & soggy.
The pizza was okay but skimpy on the toppings, greasy crust. Our family sized Caesar salad had enough dressing / croutons for one person so we had to doctor and add our own condiments. The worst was the artichoke dip & bread. I watched a server bring it from the kitchen. I drove with it for less than five minutes. I opened very soon after and it was cold & bland. The bread was beyond salty - and I like salty, but couldn't do it, so tossed. Our own crackers and bland dip it was...
I get that restaurants are under pressure right now, but what this Boston location is serving isn't rocket science. I'm just glad we had a gift card and only had to shell out a few bucks.
We won't be returning here / ordering from here again. Find an indie pizza place to support instead...you're bound to find something that tastes better and that's made with a bit of...
Read moreImpressed. Place was fairly busy and waited a bit long till our waitress came and we could order but no so long we felt like we’d been forgotten and it was still very decent considering how full the place was. Wings were hot and tasty, pizza was perfect and didn’t have to wait long for it at all. At one point I ran out of drink and was wanting a refill. She wasn’t ignoring us at all she was often checking up but I was eating hot wings and just happened to be between visits that I ran out. (I hate nagging waitresses when they walk by it’s not bad to do it I don’t think but it just feels rude) I caught our waitresses eye (who was very busy) and 10 seconds later she was there with a refill without me even asking. Insane service. Very friendly waitress and polite and genuinely nice. I’m a young guy with heart issues in town for some appointments and she asked what we were in the city for and I told her and she was wishing me the best and said she was hoping everything went well and it didn’t seem at all shallow, rather seemed like she was a genuinely caring person, who was doing her job and going above and beyond the requirements. Makes me want to work on being more unselfish and caring too. The whole experience made my day. Thank you and I...
