Not as big as their promo photo, but they had to squish a bit to fit in take out box!
Still delicious, and at least it saved us a step in trying to eat this burger!!
Every piece of the burger was good, though the arugula ony tasted good with the cheese (Preferences! I'm not a fan of arugula on a regular day, but this is Burger Week!!)
Took off points because altogether, it was too salty!!! The little bit of saltiness of the the bun, and the patty, along with the pepperoni and the sauce, too much!! But just drink lots of water in between bites!
And service was bah! Yes busy! But 4 people in front of the cash register and it sounds like 1 person in charge of takeout order, and yet I saw someone bring takeout bags and out them on the table with all the takeout order, and not even notify the people at the front register that they were done, so they would know when the people picking them up whether they were done or not!! I watched it all happen, and one of those recently dropped off order was actually mine, three minutes later (waiting for the line in front of the servers to shorten because I felt bad for the servers) I got my take out...
Note: There was always a crowd of over 5 people squished in a 2 by 2 meter front lobby, some not wearing masks, not including the 3 or 4 servers continuously coming who were thankfully wearing them, because there was no procedures to handle their lines by the door. Even though it was full at the lobby, the servers didn't say anything at all! And people kept coming in to the dining area from outside without sanitizing... There is still a pandemic right? Off tangent, but one of the worst procedures of social distancing I've seen so far.
Overall, very good to go experience with the food, even though it's been in the to go container for approx....
Read moreNormally I chalk up poor service to an establishment being understaffed, but what our table of 7 experienced tonight was just plain neglect/disrespect. Our server Isabella treated our table as the absolute lowest priority and everyone in the party noticed.
Myself and 3 others were at the table first, with others arriving about a half hour later, in over three and a half hours, we got checked in on just 3 times (and by checked in on, I mean a chance to order any more, not just a “how’s everything tasting?”). Majority of the time I spent there was waiting to reorder, could and would have easily spent double if it weren’t for a lack of service.
Many at the table ordered food and drink at the same time and kitchen/expedition staff were on top of it, but the food arrived within about 15 minutes while the drinks we ordered (at the same time) took a good 15 minutes longer than the food did. A 25-30 minute wait on a drink just isn’t right. People were already mostly done entrees by the time the drinks we ordered with it made it to the table, and one of us had to get up from the table to seek out cutlery/napkins after 10 minutes without (wouldn’t have happened if the server spent any time caring about our experience)
I only ended up getting 4 drinks, 2 of which I ordered at once - only because I waited nearly an hour to order at all, and one was with the bill cause at that point I had given up and thought I might as well order a drink if it meant getting the bill any sooner.
I’d like to believe this was a one-time bad experience but there was never any apology given for a wait and we saw plenty of other tables come and go while we waited. Will probably try to convince friends to go elsewhere...
Read moreI have eaten at Underdogs 7 or 8 times, usually at lunch. The food has always been consistent and good. The reason that I'm giving them a 4 of 5 is that tonight was a disappointment. The evening was not busy but there was a retirement party in the back which took the servers attention. This did not concern me as the beer was cold and I had ordered an appetizer for my daughter and I to share. The waitress apologized that the food was taking longer than expected due the party. We didn't think anything of it until the food came out, appetizer and main. The app was cold (potato chips and onion dip), fries with the main were slightly soggy(has never been like that). After a bit my waitress asked if I wanted another beer, I had one so I declined and said I would take a water instead. It arrived without ice. Seemed weird. The waitress had asked a number of times how everything was. I did not pipe up as I was not looking for any return, or to make a large issue. I encourage management to account for a large booking in the future because in the end, they have the possibility of alienating the main dining room/ bar tables. I still return because they have usually been consistent. I hope that this is an isolated blip. I understand that frequenting an establishment will increase the opportunity for disappointment, and this has been the first issue in many visits. More...
