Café 13 — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Please understand that I am writing this review on a very specific event I attended at this venue.

An 80s-90s dance party was advertised. I went and discovered a few things.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly! The place was clean.

The DJ did not play '80s and '90s music, but I don't think the venue is to blame for that.

However, the "dance floor" was just a carpeted area they had moved tables away from. It's dangerous to dance on carpet as you can damage your knees very easily. Note to the venue: You need a hard surface dance floor, even if that's something you move in for events and move out later.

I sat at a table, contemplating if I wanted to dance after I got there. I felt that the chairs were extremely uncomfortable flimsy plastic. My rear end was in agony within 10 minutes.

I have no idea about the food or other aspects, but do not go here...

Their buffet dinner (pasta and meatballs) is delicious and affordable. The employees are super friendly too. I will definitely recommend this...
