Used to work in the area near Coen sushi so I would frequently place an order for pickup to satisfy our sushi craving, now that I switch to a new work place I still drove 30mins to this place and 30mins back just to get sushi! And that is a testament to how good Coen Sushi is, definitely very good bang for the buck sushi and consistently good every time. The fish is good, sushi rice is good, tempura is good, the manitoba roll and grant roll were good, only gripe was that the sashimi could be bigger slices. So far my go to sushi places are Edoko for more pricey but higher quality, Coen Sushi, Sushi Ai and KL sushi for a more budget friendly alternative to good sushi. Edit: Went for dine-in dinner April 25,2022 Monday, they dont officially accept dine-in but accommodated us nonetheless. Still amazes me how consistently good the food here is every time. Coen sushi is now our no.1 favourite affordable sushi place.

It is a long due review as I have been going to Coen Sushi for 4 to 5 years now. Coen sushi is the best and only sushi place I go to in Winnipeg. Countless other sushi places disappointed me. Coen ingredients are fresh and delicious. The portion is generous. The end pieces of the sushi roll are packed with ingredient. The combination of ingredients and sauce match so well together. The rolls are thin layer of rice wrapping a mouthful of ingredients. The rice is seasoned with sushi vinegar. The owner is hardworking and nice. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Everything is delicious here, I recommend the magma roll. The restaurant itself is very clean and cozy. I try to come here at least once a month because I know how hard they work, they lady is the so so so nice and has offered and given me free drinks before. I love this place so much and it will always my go to sushi place. In the photos the roll looks a bit squished down but that's expected because of the packaging.

I had an appointment at Pan Am and my wife and I wanted to grab sushi before heading home. We saw that Coen Sushi was nearby and had great reviews, so we decided to check it out.

The food was delicious, and we could tell that the ingredredients were fresh and high quality. We had the Volcano roll, the Winnipeg roll, the Tiger roll, and several others.

Coen is comparatively pricey, but in my opinion it was well worth it for the quality of our meal.

Its worth noting that Coen is technically takeout only; however, there are several tables in the building and the staff welcomed us to eat in, and even brought out our meal to our table for us.

Coen Sushi has excellent sushi and even better service; we're looking forward to eating...

This is the place to find some of the best sushi in Winnipeg. Sadly, even though the pandemic is over, they still haven’t returned to normal dine-in service. Who wants to eat at home? My wife and I like to go out for dinner almost every weekend. We would probably go to Co-en Sushi at least once a month if they treated their dine-in customers with a little more respect. Instead, you have to order at the counter, pay up front, pick up your food, eat it off paper plates with plastic cutlery and dump out your own garbage. You might as well eat at McDonald’s. The food is great but until they go back to normal dine-in service, they won’t be...
