Chicken Delight | Portage Ave — Restaurant in Winnipeg

We ordered dinner from here and we were not impressed. The biggest problem was that the chicken coating /spices (corporations' fault) has become of a very poor /low quality.

Also, they definitely do not change their deep-fryer oil enough and this (along with the bad chicken coating) caused all of us to feel bloated, gross, and have bad flatulence.

The flatulence was just awful smelling too, and it lasted all of us not just into the evening, but also into the next day as well, (when we woke up)... Just felt gross the next morning.

I won't ever eat here again. The quality of this food is literally bottom of the barrel greasy yuck. The Chicken Delight Corp. is largely to blame for this, as I felt the owner /operators here at this location were...

Seems that every time I stop in, a little more luster is gone from here. Can't really point at this or that, but an overall unpleasant feeling abides. Don't expect me back, and I have eaten from this store for over 50 years. Bless you for serving the same fries for all these years. Same gravy recipe too, I think. But Otto must be rolling in his grave because of the chicken. I bought an 11 piece special and I don’t believe it weighed 2 pounds. Drumsticks were scarcely bigger than my thumb. Shame on you for the extreme shrinkflation. That 50 above is now over 60, and if I ever come back, it won’t be...

I don't go out for lunch much, but after all my medical appointments today I thought I'd treat myself. I was in the mood for wings, fries and gravy and knew Chicken Delight would not disappoint. You can't get wings like this any where else that I know of, I especially enjoy the fries as they aren't overly salted like some other places... and the gravy is rich, thick and very savoury... what a great combination.
