Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Winnipeg

This location has been absolutely phenomenal during the covid-19 pandemic. My wife and I order a LOT from them. Food is sort of the only thing getting me through all of this right now. I have a very serious autoimmune disease so I’ve been completely isolated since early March. And it’s rough. We’ve been ordering off SkipTheDishes, and I’ve only had maybe 2 issues with orders in total, out of .... I want to say 30 orders. They were kind enough to give me a courtesy call to apologize for a mistake and to offer me a free blizzard. I really appreciate all of the work they’re doing for the community. Especially having such a small space to work out of, and not having the ability to run the business the way they’re used to. It’s pretty incredible, and I’m extremely grateful. I hope I don’t give them too much grief as my order is a little bit of the odd side. In any case, I would very highly recommended this location to those who are ordering online right now. So i ordered a number 1 combo and while waiting, another gentlemen came into order. After taking his money I saw the “shift leader” go from handling the cash straight to taking out the buns and cheese. It was very disgusting to see her not wash her hands or even use gloves while touching the food. She then pulled up her pants and continued touching the food. After seeing all that I asked for my money back saying that I saw her do all that and not even wash her hands. She proceeded to say that she did wash her hands which I knew was a lie. I phoned to ask if I could get a "last minute" design of a volleyball on my son's birthday cake. Normally you have to give 24 hours notice for a personal request. I described what I was looking for and I was told they would try their best at putting something together. She offered to have it done in just over an hour! The cake artist surpassed my expectations! She did an amazing job and we were all so happy with the outcome! The cake tasted great as always. They went out of their way to help me out in a jam. We are a family of five and always order Dairy Queen cakes for our birthdays and for special events! We will definitely be going back to this location for ice...
