This restaurant doesn't have the easiest parking. The nearby street has construction that takes up the sidewalk. However at 7pm on a Thursday night street parking could be found. The delicious smells of the kitchen permeated the outside air as we made our way in. The desert display tempted us as we were seated. We were seated close to the window in not the largest table but it worked and the seats comfortable. Our wait staff did an excellent job. She helped us choose between the many tempting dishes. She brought us our items quickly. She was there when she could help and let us enjoy our meal. The escargots 5+/5 and the bread came first, along with the teas, loose leaf 5/5. The escargots arrived in a buttery sauce with mushrooms. I was very glad we ordered it. Our soups, French onion 5+/5 and the roasted squash 5/5 arrived next. The French onion soup was wonderful. The soup base was great and full flavoured. The cheese added a new dimension of flavour and texture. The croutons were meaty and wonderful. The squash soup had a good flavour and texture. Then the main dishes arrived. The Tuna was good but I have had better. The potato tasted old but was cooked okay. The zucchini was simply outstanding, I don't remember when I have had any nearly as good. The pieces of corn on the cob was also very good. We then shared a slice of cappuccino cheesecake. Super flavour, great texture and a great cheesecake. Can't wait to go back. If you haven't been here you really should go.

Lovely dining experience at this restaurant. Had eaten there a few times in the past and was happy to go back. We had loose-leaf tea to drink in a nice large container called a Brewt Tea Infuser - was a great way to serve a loose-leaf tea. We had escargots as an appetizer- excellent flavour with mushrooms and onions in a buttery sauce. Fresh bread was served at the beginning of the meal as well - they brought a few pieces from a baguette and a corn bread with flavoured whipped butter. We had the roasted squash soup and french onion soup - both were perfectly done. The french onion soup had a good amount of cheese on top. Our two entrees were the Arctic Char and marinated Tuna. The Arctic char had an interesting filling - stuffed with a lobster gruyère potato mousseline over a lemon verbena sauce. The Tuna was grilled with a maple soy marinade topped with strawberry, avocado mango salsa & unagi. Side grilled potatoes, zucchini and corn on the cob rounded out the mains. Loved the zucchini - best I've had in years. The entrance to the restaurant has a lovely display of the desserts available - 7 or 8 choices there. We decided on the Cappuccino cheesecake - one piece to share. Fantastic flavour. They had 2 flavors of creme brulée in the display. Will have to try one of them next time we go here. Centrally located in St. Boniface on Desmeurons - we found street parking across the street tonight.

A very disappointing experience to say the least! We had already booked our table but once there we still had to wait for 15 minutes by the door since it's a very small space and it made it very awkward but the host and waiters did not care, did not apologize but just kept zooming by us, almost pushing us! Once seated, the place is very small and tables are pretty much touching and you couldn't get a word without screaming at each other and to top it off We had a rambunctious group of ladies behind us, probably drunk, just screaming at the top of their lungs and laughing so loud, it was annoying! Our waitress was pretty much a robot, just spitting out memorized words with no eye contact, nor personable! Now the food was tasteless, overcooked and undercooked! The quantity was surprisingly good but the lamb shank was tender but tasteless, the potatoes and Butternut squash that accompanied it were undercooked, pretty much raw! My husband ribs were a large quantity but they were dry and inedible! My mom's pickerel dish was again good quantity but but tasteless and overdone! The only decent food was my brother's bison steak, but very small quantity compared to the price! We had creme brulee for dessert and it was disgusting, very goopy and the sugar on top was burned!

Upon initial seating, a courteous young man inquired about hanging our coats, a considerate gesture that, ideally, all restaurants should provide. Our server demonstrated promptness and extensive knowledge, coupled with a warm demeanor and meticulous attention to detail. We initiated our dining experience with orders of Lobster Stickers, Roquefort Hot Legs, and two French Onion Soups, each dish boasting exceptional flavor. For our main courses, my husband selected the Schnitzel, a generous serving expertly cooked, although the accompaniment of a poached egg seemed superfluous. Conversely, I opted for the Arctic Char stuffed with lobster, where the sauce played a starring role. Subsequently, we proceeded to indulge in desserts, showcased appealingly in the front display case. My husband's choice, the Chantilly, impressed with its incorporation of whole hazelnuts. I, meanwhile, savored the last Sticky Toffee Pudding, its sauce nothing short of extraordinary. Noteworthy, however, were the minor shortcomings: the French Onion Soup's presentation, which would have gained from toasted baguette slices or croutons in lieu of plain bread, and our server's oversight in not offering to refill my beverage. I believe that updating the paint colours is necessary. The multiple patchwork sections on the walls in the restaurant and bathroom stall doors made the space look outdated...
