Montana’s BBQ & Bar — Restaurant in Winnipeg

We were celebrating a birthday on may 5th. We were 11 people, 7 adults and 4 kids. The service was lacking. It took awhile to get our drinks. Then we ordered appetizers. Our waitress encouraged us to place our order for our main meal at the same time. We received our appetizers and didn't even have time to eat them as our main meal came out about 5 minutes later. So most of our appetizers were left uneaten. Our main meals were good. Then we wanted to order coffee but were told that the coffee machine was turned off for the night. She offered us hot water. It was 940 pm. I realize the restaurant was closing at 10 pm but there were customers still in the restaurant. Then about 950 we were asked to move our chairs so that the staff could roll up the rugs. What kind of service is that. My son in law was late joining us and didn't realize the issues regarding the service. Our bill would have been substantial as we ordered drinks, wine, appetizers, meals and dessert. He picked up the tab and probably left a good tip which I would not have. If that is how they treat their customers, I will not...

The service was trash. The waitress threw out order in the trash and we had to wait for 1hr45 minutes to get served. The waitress didn’t even apologize for making us wait. She sent her manager instead because she didn’t want to own up to her mistake, went and served more than 2 more groups that came after us and kept passing by our table not saying anything. We thought she was kind of discriminating us from other people because we are of a different race. I wasn’t fair to get that kind of treatment. Having to eat our food when we felt like it was time to go home isn’t a nice experience. I hate to mention people’s names but SYD if you are seeing this review, my friends and i didn’t like how you treated us last night. I’m sure you’ve never treated other people the way you treated us yesterday. My steak was burnt. I wanted it well done but I got a burnt one instead. The Nachos were good. Too much fried chips on our plates and too dry to chew. I’ve never been to Montana’s before but this first experience was definitely not...

Decided to take the family out for dinner. We decided on Montanas over Boston Pizza our usual go to spot. Walked in the door was greeted friendly by the host she took our order. after that everything went down hill. Our appetizers were potato skins a bit burnt and fully loaded pull apart bread nothing on it but cheese. No onions no bacon and no garlic drizzle. We overlooked this. Then the food came my wrap was nothing exciting and my fries looked like a half portion. Again nothing to complain about my partners corn bread was rock solid. Again all this could be over looked but the one thing that really made the experience dull was that there was no service after our order was made. No one asked how our food was, no one asked us for refills. Had to get up and go ask for ketchup, more napkins, sauce, and a replacement cornbread.
