Note that this is from a door dasher perspective and not a full review : considering people keep ordering from here, I assume the food is at least decent. However, I do have a few issues with this restaurants business practices:
Cleanliness: The restaurant appears to be below average in maintainance, as seen with the photos by others and the video I have provided. I would like to point out this is a drastic improvement to last year, as before there was what appeared to be mold in the corners. The only real issue now is damaged furniture/shelvings.
as a delivery driver, the wait times here are atrocious and make it feel like the order is a waste of our time. Orders here seem to take about 20-30mins total from the moment we arrive, which sucks because we don't get compensated for delays. On top of that( although I'm not 100% sure) but it seems like they prepare the food the moment the delivery driver arrives, which is ridiculous. it not only wastes the drivers' time but also the customers' time, as it should be expected their food be at their door within the hour or less.
The lady who prepares the food is very rude to us divers. She never seems to be happy or says thank you, just points at you and says "YOU" then gives you the food. If you look at the reviews, it appears they don't take well to criticism from drivers, which speaks to how much they respect us.
Although I said the food "seems" decent, it does not excuse the way it seems to be prepared. When you arrive here, you constantly hear the microwave running the whole time, which begs the question, is the food just microwaved pre-cooked meals? I understand some dine in restaurants microwave food so that all the food comes out warm. However, this is a take out restaurant, so unless the food is just being cooked and prepared in a microwave, i dont understand why the microwave is on the whole time, it just kinda confuses me. You never hear a stove on and the sound of frying, just the microwave.
Overall, this restaurant is probably the most difficult establishment in the city to deliver from, mixed with a history of poorly maintained appearances, it yearns to be a better spot and hopefully it gets the improvement it deserves. Given this place has failed a health inspection, i wouldn't recommend this place to anybody at the moment. However, since they reopened, and assuming they passed a reinspection, I'd say it might be worth the chance to try it at least once. I'll probably order it one day to actually give it a full review.
And to the business owner, I apologize if this review offends you. However, I do hope you take the criticism in the reviews as a way to improve. I'd probably start with tackling the wait times, as it seems all your negative reviews stem from that. Im not sure how you manage the business, but im sure there are ways to be a bit more efficient. Your restaurant is mainly take out, so I wouldn't really focus on appearances other than making it look a bit more "nicer," specifically fixing your shelving and counter. You did a great job trying to clean it up, such as the walls and floors, so i do see great improvement from last year. I also don't think you intentionally try being rude to us drivers, so i wouldn't actually worry about that. Maybe a smile would be cool :).

The chicken had blood inside, the meat wasn’t well seasoned, the ogbonno had steamed fish with absolutely no seasoning inside it, the fried fish was so so burnt, the cover of the bowls wouldn’t fit immediately after I opened them. 7 Months after… Did I voluntarily order from this restaurant tonight? NO! I ordered for pick from a different restaurant but arrived and saw that it was actually “One Stop African Restaurant” Did I get the same result that I got 7 months ago? NO (WORSE)! Because they have been closed down by Manitoba health/ Public health Inspection, they now have 3 different store fronts on Uber eats & skip! The names:- AFRICAN PREMIUM SNACKS, NAIJA PASTERIES & SPECIALTY FOODS, ONE STOP AFRICAN RESTAURANT! The restaurants have different menus so it’s hard for you to know they are the same!
