Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My pictures don’t do the taste justice and not in a good way. This is the worst Papa John’s Pizza I have ever had! I got the customizable, epic pepperoni stuffed crust pizza… Which I have many times before from other locations and never been so disappointed. I was expecting the same type of quality. But this dough was so dry and flaky and over kneaded that I couldn’t even eat the pizza. The cheese inside of the stuffed crust was nonexistent, and the pizza itself had so little cheese on top that all the toppings just completely fell off and there was way too much sauce that the centre of the pizza was just a soggy mess. It used to be great. I used to go out of my way to go to this location in the years past as the one near me was terrible. Now the prices have increased like everything with is expected and the toppings are lacking. Way to much dough now ,the sauce was good but the cheese was missing on many slices. They said they use a pre measured cup now for the cheese time for a bigger cup if that's the case. They also said its from the square cut, and it's not it looked very light in the cheese before it was even cut it just pulls away because there is hardly any. We get square cut all the time, and there is no issue if the toppings are decent. For the price especially they need to step it up. I may change this rating and review in the future, because I have hope…it’s hard to choose between 1 or 2 stars because I’m conflicted. I have ordered from this location (via doordash and skip) 3 times. I agree with another reviewer regarding cheese. Not only do they appear to be very cheap on the cheese, but “extra sauce” doesn’t mean more sauce and less cheese, either! The pizza is very “soaked” because of the amount that they call extra, which is unfortunate. But the pepperoni is perfect; crispy outsides. Yum. Garlic knots are a miss. The flavour overall is always so good, which is which I keep ordering. Greasy late night pizza is expected - but customers deserve a bit better quantity for the cost (re: cheese).
