Noor Mahal — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My brother and I heard about this place from New & Notable: August in Winnipeg. (Winnipeg tourism)

it was a place that we had been to before but now had a change of name and a change of owners. The write-up looked promising.

We both ordered a lamb noodle dish that looked very promising. $17. The dish was basically a bowl of greasy noodles with small tidbits of lamb which were pretty good. One or two vegetables in very small pieces were also in the mix. Very little spicing or flavour was noticed in the sauce. adding hot sauce certainly helped and if it was a $12 bowl it would have been worth it.

The service was sparse and un-inspiring. the restaurant was practically empty and we were left alone with their menus for about 10 minutes.

For a brand new restaurant opening this is not a good look. The two employees we saw didn't smile or seem to care of we were...

Absolutely disappointing packaging and taste for the two chat items i had ordered through skip. I had hopes to get something decent. Dahi sev puri was soggy and lacked flavours , the packaging was not smart for delivery. Dahi bhalla was okay ish just about edible but no flavours. Just yoghurt and hard lentil balls. This is by far one of the most disapponting Indian dishes i have tasted. If you cannot come up with smart packaging for deliver, pls dont sell those items on the skip sight....

Ordered through door dash. Everything was perfect. Food was hot and fresh. Butter chicken was very tender and had a ton of flavor. Ordered mild and these was no spiciness at all too it. Ordered the butter Naan and garlic Naan. Both were awesome. The basmati rice was also very fresh and tasty. The butter chicken actually came with rice, so did no need to order any extra.
