I recently attended a birthday group dinner at Original Joe's and the experience was absolutely delightful, worthy of a five-star rating. Although we had reservations, we were a bit disappointed that we couldn't move our tables together. However, this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise fantastic evening.
The food was the star of the night. Every dish we ordered was great, satisfying everyone in our party. There was an instance where our chips and dip order was mixed up, but the staff handled it with such professionalism. To our pleasant surprise, they compensated for the mistake by offering us an extra appetizer, a gesture that was both unexpected but highly appreciated.
Despite the restaurant being packed on a Saturday night, which understandably led to slower drink service, our waitress was exceptional in keeping us informed. She was attentive and communicative, explaining that the bar was backed up, which helped set our expectations.
Overall, the quality of food, the level of customer service, and the atmosphere of Original Joe's made our birthday celebration special. It's rare to find a place that combines great food with attentive service, especially on a busy night. I would definitely recommend Original Joe's to anyon. I am eagerly looking forward...

Had steak sandwich. Mashed& herbed potatoes mushrooms that were delicious. Crispy onion rings. My water refills just kept coming and coming right on time and I wasn't ignored as I was dining alone. I know how difficult it is to grill a very small steak to medium rare status. The difference between medium rare and medium well is only a minute and each side. It was done quite reasonably well. The staff was especially friendly and the reasonably new manager was very accommodating. I'm going to give this place a recommendation. One hint is probably to put a larger and higher res TVs so people don't have to really squint and strain to see the score in the relevant details in the TSN channels. I have 20/20.. Check out the Earls Polo. Of course Polo is a much bigger investment and a much bigger store and this one is way out in the Unicity which tends to be quieter so I understand.
I will go again and give you the number 2 review w pics.
I'm trying to patronize Canadian restaurants and Canadian stores. I guess manifest destiny has already happened with all the US chains taking over all the Canadian businesses in starving...
Read moreI have supported this business before and through covid. When they were unable to dine customers in their building I ordered take out and when they were open again I ate there frequently. Friday night their requirements changed contradicting GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS. As posted on manitoba.ca "People must present official documentation confirming they are fully immunized against covid-19." "Government- issued identification must be requested and is required to validate the person's identity as matching the vaccination record provided." To which I conformed and presented both requirements and was denied entry into their restaurant. I understand rules and regulations that we all must abide by during this time of uncertainty, but in this case I felt hurt that even by doing my part I was denied service by a place I supported. Needless to say I will not be returning to a company who doesn't see the "we are all in this together" but rather the staff on Friday night who seemed too lazy to want people dining at...
