My friend and I came here for brunch the other day (SUN MAY 8/22) and we were absolutely delighted by the food! I ordered the chicken and waffle and it was, without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had -- and for the same price as lesser quality meals elsewhere! (I had assumed that I'd be paying much more here, as the place had always appeared fancy, so I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability.) Their tea selection is also expansive and fantastic. (I loved the Black Skyline Chai, and you're even able to purchase loose tea to bring home). Same with their desserts! (We had the chocolate cake, of course. And let me tell you, the slice that they give you is double the size most places give you -- for the same price. Shocking, really! The halved slice is shown in the photo.) I will 100% be coming back. ~ UPDATE (2 weeks later, SAT MAY 28/22): I came back for a dinner date with my fiancé and while clearly shortstaffed, our service was still very friendly and the food was excellent. They were also 100% accomodating of his various allergies and he was even able to have dessert (which is incredibly rare!). I ordered the pork tenderloin with burgundy oolong tea and lemon chiffon cake for dessert. My fiancé ordered the beef in red wine with jungle juice and the rose & orange infused cinnamon bun for dessert. Ultimately, it was such a relaxing (safe) night out and I wanted to commend our server for her good attitude during the staff shortage! I didn't catch her name but she did not let the situation get to her and was a pleasure talking to. <3 . We will be adding this restaurant to safe places for my fiancé to eat at, and will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Food Review: Promenade Brasserie – A Hidden Gem on Provencher! Had lunch today at Promenade Brasserie (130 Provencher Blvd) with my nephew, and I have to say—it was a fantastic experience! My nephew went with the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Smashed Potatoes, while I ordered the OG Burger with Smashed Potatoes. The OG Burger was absolutely delicious—easily in the same category of greatness as the Hy’s Prime Rib Burger. It had that rich, home-style flavor that makes you want to slow down and enjoy every bite. The Smashed Potatoes were described to me as “what French fries wish they were,” and I have to agree—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. These aren’t your average fries; they take things to another level. Before leaving, I grabbed the Sugar Fry Bread with Saskatoon Berry Compote as takeout for my wife, and let’s just say it disappeared in record time! She gave it a 10/10 without hesitation, so that’s a glowing endorsement in itself. A big shoutout to Jay, the owner, who played hockey with my son—he’s created something truly special here. I really enjoyed my lunch and will 100% be back to try more from the menu. If you’re looking for amazing food, a great atmosphere, and friendly service, Promenade Brasserie is a must-visit. See you again soon!

First time at Promenade with the new ownership. This place might be one of my go to's now. As a first time, we had to go with the chicken & waffles, eggs benedict and their smashed potatoes. The chicken was delicious and their waffles were a cake waffle and I think that really made it blend well with the fruit compote on it. There was also some chili oil and spicy aioli for a nice little kick. Partner had the eggs benny with the arctic char and did she ever love it! The bannock on the bottom really elevated the dish as well. Their smashed potatoes might be one of my favourite potatoes in the city, had the right crunch outside, soft in the inside and seasoned very nicely. My only thing about our visit was that there was an odd "wet towel" smell when we entered. Our noses got used to it but it was still evidently there. Not sure if they were wiping the tables with the wrong cloths or some weird solution but just a heads up to the restaurant about that! I am definitely going to be going back to try out their smash burger and more dishes! Everything on the menu sounded so delicious so expect to see me a few more times!

Unfortunately this place has changed a lot since the time I was a regular here for my weekend breakfasts.

My last time I came here for a lunch in February. I was looking to have a soup as I was feeling a little bit under the weather. Before sitting I asked two staff members if there are any soup options. They checked and said yes and gave me the two potions. Since I found what I sat down. About 10 min later after waitress took my order I got another waitress coming to me and letting me know that they don’t serve soups on Sundays. That was disappointing, as I was already expecting one. I’ve browsed menu once again, trying to find something else that wouldn’t make me sick (allergies and troubled stomach limit my choice). I found another meal and ordered it to find out they out of ingredients for that one ... At that moment I felt like it’s easier to ask what they actually carry at the moment from the whole 3 page menu. I was already 20 min in and nowhere close to eating so I settled with another option that I wasn’t too excited about, at this point I was just looking to eat anything so I’m not late to my meeting. I ordered meal and a hot tea (I specified as there was a cold option too). My meal came with a room temperature rooibos tea, completely not brewed. I asked waitress for a hot tea. She brought back tea pot with exactly same temperature. Had to leave that untouched. Food was fine, however made me sick (peppers make me sick and that wasn’t mentioned that it was part of the ingredients). At the checkout I mentioned my cold tea and they were kind enough to make a hot one for to go. Which was nice, but definitely didn’t recover...

The food is excellent and the wait staff is impeccable. I was w a large group of 3 tables for brunch on the long weekend, and normally I would talk more about the food. However, something a little different drives my review this time; the people. One of the waiters caught my eye, and I said "I know you", and we determined it was from a previous restaurant he worked at. I then proceeded to tell him this story about how I often recommend restaurants to friends, and was happy w his old place of work because of the following reasons. Basically a place I had lots of friends going to closed after a year or so and left a close couple stranded by not delivering a very large New Year's day dinner. They didn't call them in spite of being confirmed the day before. Long story short, the place the waiter worked at always did such a great job. In fact, once they forgot one thing in the same friends order, the manager came to their house and personally brought the whole order made hot again and a bottle of wine. As I said the waiter said "of Rosé."Then he said that was me!!! I couldn't believe it. He then asked me about their son who just graduated Uni and remembered the son's major, and where he hoped to work. I said it's so nice to have places that rare in customer service and he smiled and said "you gotta take care of your customers". What a class act. Later, I'm chatting w the other tables and apparently he is the owner, Jay or Jake. He didn't mention that or rush our probably too long conversation. Oh , btw the Egg's Benedict were lovely. Needless to say nobody had any complaints for...
