I love the fancy zealous nature of this place. The architecture is very pretty and there is also a fun aspect to the atmosphere with the funky prints that the place has. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here for lunch. Their cafe drinks are delicious and sizeable for the price ($6) and the presentation is gorgeous! The charcuterie board ($22) is also delicious. I was surprised cheese was extra, but I found that cheese was not missing on the charcuterie board as it was incredibly flavourful and kept me decently satiated for a bit. The alcoholic beverages do seem a bit small, so if you are someone who is a lightweight like me, I suspect you will be able to have quite a few without getting buzzed, which is a plus for me. The drinks are also gorgeous with different garnishes and glasses for presentation and are quite tasty. The sourdough toast is also absolutely delicious and filling. Dessert is never a miss! Unfortunately, I would not recommend their entrées at this point. My rule of thumb with entrées is I am happy to pay a lot for a small portion if it is absolutely amazing, or to pay a lot for a moderate or large portion if it is mediocre or good. Unfortunately, the chicken entrée ($25) was a small portion and was ... okay. I was perplexed because when I cut into it, it squirted out juice, so I thought it meant it should be juicy but it tasted... dry? The salmon ($35) was definitely better and I loved the char on it, but there was not a lot of flavour in it. If you really love the taste of salmon, this is for you! I like salmon, but I do like just... slightly more flavour. The staff were amazing and have been very friendly every time. I am sure if I brought it up they would have replaced it or refunded me so I am giving them a 5 on service. I was just trying so hard to like it and tried to find the chicken tasty but at the end of the supper, once I got home, I was a bit dissatisfied and hungry. They may improve on their entrées yet and I have faith, it will just take me a while before I can afford having supper here again. I will definitely come here for lunch or brunch again as they knock that out of the park and I crave the sourdough creations and I absolutely adore their coffee drinks and occasionally like to try their...
Read moreWe visited Rosé Coffee & Wine on a Monday night and were immediately impressed—especially because it was Half-Price Oyster Night! That was a fantastic bonus. We tried both the Spicy and Classic Oysters, and they were fresh and incredibly tasty. The Classic style, in particular, was a personal favorite as it perfectly highlighted the natural flavor of the oyster. The appetizers that followed set a high standard. The Focaccia and Olive Oil was served warm, fresh, and paired with a high-quality oil. We also tried the unique Fig Zaatar—the combination of fresh ricotta, toast, and pistachios was truly special and left us wanting more, despite the generous amount of nuts! For the main courses, both dishes were executed flawlessly. The Roasted Stuffed Chicken Supreme was juicy and crunchy, featuring a stuffing that complemented the chicken beautifully. The Gochujang Salmon was a highlight: the fish was perfectly cooked, and the gochujang sauce added a fantastic layer of spice that enhanced the salmon's original flavor without overpowering it. We finished the night with the Tiramisu, which was decadent, perfectly creamy, and a great end to the meal. Located in the heart of downtown, parking was easy to find after hours. With the combination of excellent, creative food, a lovely atmosphere, and value on their oyster night, we highly recommend Rosé Coffee & Wine for a...
Read moreDisclaimer, we only had coffee and tea. They were both terrible, they are next to Parlour and Amsterdam and they should really talk to them and figure out how to make proper drinks. 1) cups are too big and you can't use the same cup for cappuccino as you do lattes, it's about ratios. 2) you don't know what a London fog is. I ordered one with less sweetener, they charged me for the vanilla pump. What? The ingredients of a londong fog are Earl Grey tea, 2 pumps of vanilla and steamed milk. Why would you charge me for having less vanilla? Also their tea is Pure Leaf, definitely could just get better quality so you don't need to out two bags in the cup. 3) Temperature is important both the coffee and tea were scalding hot. Tea burns really easily and milk will taste burn (not the case here) so you do need to make sure you know what temps work. 4) The frothing was too foaming, that's why they can't make the signature heart. We'll come back for food and drinks just to try it but the coffee is a no go. Ambiance...
