Was in there today March 27. Was busy, place packed. When you visit during spring break and at lunch rush expect to wait abit. Sat up at the stools, not usual booth to not take space up for groups. Waited abit for meal, expected. Watched the staff just hustling to meet the demand. Kitchen clearly behind. Was a pile of take out orders being done as well. Always order a hearty bacon n eggs. Wasn’t very hearty, about 8 bites of hash browns. Rare so not worth a complaint. So I’m done my meal waiting to pay and I over hear an upset customer vent to the lady in blue shirt. Rosanne? Anyway she was super busy. Still took the time to talk customer into staying. Apologizing for things just out of her control and the old lady curses then the mid 30’s fella with her crossed the line with telling her to “go eff yourself”. This was in front of public. Kudos to the way you handled it!!! You know what I watched all those waiters/waitresses communicate, call out plates ready, grab em and just get them out. Non stop hussle. Clearly issue in kitchen but the place got slammed. Was clear they all did the best they could.
I made a point of speaking a little louder than usual and expressed my gratitude for the outstanding job they all did. Because they absolutely did!!
If the fella that crossed the line to the waitress reads this, big middle finger to you !!
KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE EVERYONE AT...
Read moreMy aunt and I have been coming to this location together or on our own many times for years but it seems like standards have dropped off recently.
Came here with my aunt recently for our usual food and found the staff to be quite moody, not a single smile among the ones who sat or served us. Of course I don't expect sunshine and rainbows at all times but the overall mood was pretty miserable and like we were a burden by being here, especially when my elderly aunt requested a booth as her back isn't the best and one is more comfortable and one had to be cleaned.
The fries were usually pretty great here but the new ones are, simply put, awful. The initial plate we got was nearly burned to a crisp - enough to be selling them as potato chips, not mere fries. The more lightly cooked option when we sent the first back wasn't as bad but it's unfortunate the default you get is nearly burnt.
The grated hashbrowns I got with my Salisbury steak on the other hand were close to raw, but heated, when they were once crispy and the thing was slathered in grease to the point where I felt unwell halfway through when once I could demolish the entire plate easily not even a year ago.
In the end, they're overlooking and undercooking all the wrong things, prices are up while they cut down the menu and many employees are miserable there. It reeks of changes made to save money while making the...
Read moreI regularly take my dad here for brunch and supper every month or so. Today we ordered breakfast; I ordered sausage and it tasted as if cleaning products, possibly bleach had gotten onto the food, or been cooked into the meat from the grill. My father had tried it as well and said something seems off about it. I reported this to the staff, they had brought out a new order of sausage however it still had that awful taste, to the point that it even smelled of bleach. I reported this to management and they were happy to bring bacon instead with no odd taste. She had come back to the table and said “I just tasted a bit of the sausage, we got a batch with bad seasoning, I can assure you it’s not bleach so you don’t have to worry about getting sick”. My number 1 wonder is why would you keep a batch of food with the seasoning done incorrectly. I ended up having to pay full price for this order. Regardless of how bad it was. On top of all this I did end up getting sick when I got home (I’m writing this within 3 hours of eating here); I truely don’t know if it was the seasoning that was off and I’m honestly thinking it was bleach in my food because of how sick I am now. Won’t be returning here as I don’t trust the food at this...
