Read moreI experienced a discrimination and racist when I stop by Winnipeg, Second cup 325 North Town Road on November 28th in the morning.
The server ARIEH, she spoke Mandarin discriminates my nationality and background while I have transaction issue with her. She charged the tips without any notice and I ask her to refund to do it again. She only can refund the menu price but took the tips, so she said that is not her issue… so I ask her to refund and whole transaction to give my choice if I want to add tips on this order. She said she can’t do that and asking me” Do u think it’s my problem?”Then she judged my nationality and said “I have been in Canada for 16 yrs never seen a person like you from your country… you want to take away the tips how shames on you? Are you a newcomer here? Are you new to Canada?” (So she took away my tips without my permission is a right thing ) Good job!!! I have been that store since it first time open in BW. but I never realized that the staff like her can be racist and unprofessional with the career manner who even took the tips without noticed because the customer is visible minority as she is …Judging the nationality where I came from? And shame on my nationality? I have been here talked with the store manager and store owner, they will give her a second opportunity, but I know what she said to me in Canada as she lives here for 16yrs that is a discrimination argument. Is there any workplace any fields can tolerate her sentences to the customer? If So, the second cup occupational standard is here, Welcome!! This store is not mine second cup and...
Read moreA new coffee shop in Bridgewater , being a espresso lover , had to try it out. First impression which matters a lot is , wow! They have a nice patio , drive through and looks great.
Now coming to the core reason for my being there , to try out coffee , however the cold beverages beckoned me on a hot day and I just decided to have a lavender lemon spritzer, with a slice of banana bread , took a black america too, that’s quintessential. The staff was welcoming.
The coffee was warm and aromatic, not too strong , which was perfect. The barista got me the wrong cold beverage , on seeing the colour I got it corrected , she was quick to do that. I guess early days.
I did notice the hours of operation , hope they can keep it open till this late as that’s what this community needs.
They had few retail merchandise and saw some children having ice creams , not sure which ones , looked more like sundaes. There was a good selection of cake slices , tarts and cookies.
The overall ambience , location and menu seems inviting , wishing them the best. Welcome to our...
