I've always loved Sub Zero. I was sad when the previous owners left and had new ownership. I was heartbroken when they changed the pride parfait from confetti cake chunks to fruit loops. Which can be taken offensively if you think about it. Then they used Smarties. Personally I'm more of an My&M person but Smarties is a safer choice considering its part of the Nestle Nut-free choices our there. And making confetti cake can be time consuming - such Smarties. šŸ˜‰ I kept coming back either way over the years to try the parfaits I've wanted to try but haven't got around to. Then thus found and loved my personal fave, the Pikachu Parfait. Then overtime there's a new feature to try and enjoy! I'm glad they still do K9 cones for dogs. I almost never forget to not buy a few for my furbabies. I loved the Mother's Day Parfait when they would have it - the macaron was a lovely touch. I absolutely love how the current owners keep up with the trends. The parfaits lifted up my spirits during this pandemic. When they started taking door dash orders, debit and credit, it was a total game changer. Best last hurrah of the season was their Squid Game Parfait. Honestly, I haven't seen it but my family did. Our living room was wild when we took it home (we lived nearby) and we had 6 minutes to get the shape out with a needle - oh what fun! Sadly the youngest player wasn't able to participate since it broke when they pulled it out. It was very tasty. I'd love to see this back again next season! Keep up the excellent work! You're doing an amazing job! Thanks for being engaged with your customers and followers on Social Media. I hope to see you again next summer and years to come! I hope to enjoy the ice cream and share it with my baby girl when she's older and have lasting memories. Aside from home, you are hands down my favorite places in the neighborhood.

I ordered the route 66 which was peanut butter call, hot caramel and peanuts. We added banana. I really love the flavors of it. There is a place in the city that does it a bit cheaper however I am told that the fruit flavors here are made in-house as opposed to just being from a can. I did not try the fruit flavors however so I cannot say as to the quality at this point. It was difficult to hear the cashier's. They were a little quiet. There are very polite if not as friendly. The parfait we ordered was $6.50 I believe taxes in. Parking is available in a small lot, but it is very awkward and only three cars were able to park in it at a time it seemed. However you can also still park on the street except when we were there there was a bit of construction.

We went for the first time this summer the other day. I love that they have so many tables to sit at outside. The line wasn’t too bad but it was a bit noisy and the clerk misheard one of our items when he asked a question about it but when he misunderstood (a two-scoop cone had been ordered and when he misheard what flavours and and asked he thought it was two separate cones) and made it up and we told him it was wrong he quickly fixed it and then quickly gave us our money back for the extra item he’s thought we wanted. All turned out great. The ice cream is delicious, the toppings are plentiful and we will be going again.

I took my eight-year-old daughter to Sub Zero for the first time yesterday. It was $12 for two VERY small hard ice cream cones one of which the ice cream was BARELY frozen and had a yucky, soft consistency (the maple walnut.) I went back in to ask for a different ice cream, but there were several people in line and I didn’t feel like waiting again šŸ˜’. Really disappointing considering I have heard this was a good place. Should’ve gotten a parfait I guess since they looked amazing. From now on, we will just stick to Sweet Tops as it’s always been the best IMO.

*Edit - RE: owners reply Thank you for thoughtfully reaching out to let me know what I ā€œshould have doneā€ but as I stated, I DID go back in to ask about a replacement but there were several people in line and I couldn’t wait again. The 2 tiny cones already had taken a while as one was also served in the wrong type of cone so he strangely used a paper towel to smoosh my scoop into a new cone 😟. Maybe though…how about the person serving the customer NOT serve out icecream in the first place that is clearly a mushy, melty mess? It wasn’t just a ā€œpreferenceā€ of flavour as you make it sound. It was soft, weirdly textured ice cream that was either too old or left out on the counter then re-chilled. It was gross. No gift card needed, thank you. We...

Let me start off by saying the ice cream here tastes amazing. It is worth the price and I highly recommend you come. Heads up, it's only street parking so you may have to park up ahead and walk in.

The reason I am giving only 3 stars is because of service and another issue.

Service; We were told "specialty" parfaits do not qualify for the 3 parfait deal. That would be okay however the only thing they couldn't add to make it a specialty was a cookie stick. We paid $18.50 for 3 parfaits and they couldn't just add a 5 cent cookie stick to make the parfait right, is just what rubs me the wrong way, not to mention there is no signage saying what is a specialty or that those parfaits don't apply to the deal.

The other reason is we found a black hair embedded in our parfait in the middle of ice cream meaning it fell in during it being made.

Overall it is a great place, however with some needed changes this place would definitely...
