I recently had a terrible experience here at 2:55 am July 6. I was staying at st b hospital with my mother in emergency she was hungry so me and my brother walked to get her something to eat. We came upon this subway which had a few ppl in line. There was 2 workers working that night one was in the back working and one in the store front. I found them to be too focused on their online orders than their actual in store customers, I worked for subway in my early 20s and was trained to always treat your customers polite and friendly. While waiting in line, Amandeep-(as she said her name was)-treated the customer infront of us in a better manner, when it came to our turn she was aggressively making my sandwich like she was annoyed at me, she toasted it, and started to cheese bread from the proofer, I had told her my order was not done and I wanted to order 2 more subs, she told me to wait, I felt her to be very rude to me as she took out my sandwich from the toaster and left it on line while she continued to cheese the bread. I was immediately dissatisfied as I like my sandwich to be warm and fresh as possible which I made her very aware of, she talked over me and wanted to argue back and forth while my sandwich still sat online and she continued with her bread. I told her I no longer wanted to pay for that sandwich and she threw it in garbage. She continued to make my brothers sandwich and again left it on the line while she continued to do her bread which I found pointless to do while she had customers in store in the middle of ordering at 3 in the morning. I began to become frustrated with her because she knew I didn't want the sandwich to sit and become cold but she repeatedly did this to me. She put my brothers sandwich back in the toaster to reheat it (which dries the bread even more) when it came time to paying they didn't complete my last sandwich which was just heated chicken no bread or anything it was still cold sitting on the counter, and a couple skip guys walked in to collect their orders, she helps them before completing her service with me while I already waited a good 10-15 mins to be served . I made her aware I didn't like how she was treating me and I felt very discriminated and disrespected while going through a stressful time at emergency with my mother. In the end they denied me and brother service and kicked us out telling me to go to McDonald's. As a former subway employee I will always love subway but the way your employees were interacting with me was very unpleasant and I hope they recieve proper training so they can give guests like me a more pleasant experience, I understand the area is quite rough still does not give them a reason to treat people with disrespect. After we were kicked out they were laughing it up with the skip guys speaking in their language.    Read moreI regularly go to subway on goulet this one occasion on oct 1 /2023 7:30pm I ordered tuna with bacon which I pay extra for bacon , young girl grabs 4 pieces and a little chunck of bacon i would say not even a half piece, then the older East Indian lady took over from the young girl and puts bacon on sandwich and pulls off a big slice of bacon puts it to the side , I asked why ? she said only 4 slices per sandwich lol I said to her Wht she going do with that slice then, she said that young girl going eat it for her lunch, so I mentioned thatâs ridiculous and there barely 3 1/2 slices on sandwich so she took the little piece off and returned the full slice back that was originally removed and looked annoyed while doing it. wow!! , when I got home, I called to see if I could talk to a manager or an owner and that lady that made my sandwich answered the phone. We discussed what had happened to no result so I asked about talking to a manager or owner phone # she said she let me speak to manger . She put on the young girl on phone who was not the manger obviously because she would not confirm she was manger when I asked her, what a embarrassment to this establishment if ask me , I had another experience with this same lady but never said anything, not a clue about food etiquette , wish I could have spoke to owner instead of leaving this review, they lost a regular customer today , hope this lady see this review cause she knows who she is , In response to ownerâs comments to call and talk to manger about the misunderstanding lol well I did that and just to be clear there was no misunderstanding so I called and basically the manager another East Indian lady basically called me a liar, did nothing but argue dismiss Wht happened to me , kept insisting that never happened, then mentioned everything is on video so I challenged her to check out the video it will clearly show her taking cooked bacon off my sandwich then putting back on and removing a smaller piece. Waste of time the owner really should consider this review and maybe make some changes instead of telling a good customer that their making this stuff up , very unprofessional , no food etiquette and other reviews confirm this problem with staff .    Read moreI walked into this place and asked if they had gluten-free bread. The woman at the counter immediately said no without checking or offering any alternatives. So, I bought regular sandwich for my sister who doesnât have gluten allergy all and left.
Ten minutes later, I called the storeâjust to double-checkâand a different employee answered and told me yes, they do have gluten-free bread. when I asked her why I was told no 10 minutes ago she told me that sometimes they donât have gluten-free bread and now they do so I went back in, ordered what I originally wanted, and asked why I was told otherwise. She gave me a very, very vague answer
So in 10 minutes, you went from not having it to suddenly having it? Letâs be honestânothing changed except She couldnât tell my skin color over the phone, The only thing that changed was that I wasnât standing in front of her. This felt discriminatory and disrespectful, and I strongly believe it had everything to do with the color of my skin. Whatâs even more sad is that she is also a foreigner an Indian lady SMH
