Updated review: I took Wall Street Slice up on their gracious offer of a free Caesar salad. The lettuce in this salad had a good amount of leaf not a lot of core! Dressing was still very anchovy-forward but I loved it! I’ll admit I was a little nervous calling and asking about a free salad but Edelma was very happy that I called. She was so lovely to talk to! We also ordered the whiteout pizza and those dreamy garlic rolls both were delicious. My review has been updated to a well deserved 5 stars 😁
Original Review: 4 stars: We stopped by yesterday at around 5:30. We ordered 4 pizza slices, Caesar salad and garlic rolls as well as an iced tea and an orange cream soda. I was hoping to order the whiteout but there were no slices available. I instead ordered the lush mush and hot n’ honey. Both were absolutely fantastic! The crust was nice and crispy but the pizza was still foldable. From reading other comments, I knew I had to try the garlic rolls and they did not disappoint! We dipped them in garlic aioli. I can’t even put into words how good they were!! Now the Caesar salad... I was super excited to try it but it was disappointing. The lettuce we received was almost all cores barely any leaf. The dressing itself was good. My mom found it too anchovy-e but I found it to be fine I don’t mind a more anchovy-forward dressing. My mom loved her iced tea and I really enjoyed my orange cream soda it tastes like a creamsicle!
Customer service was great as well! Our cashier recommended a dipping sauce for our garlic rolls (garlic aioli) and it was a great recommendation.
I will absolutely return for pizza slices and those garlic rolls but wouldn’t get the Caesar...
Read moreI stopped in a few weeks ago and had lunch. I had the hot&honey and pepperoni. Pizza was great, restaurant was clean and workers were good. No issues there. I’ve been wanting to take my wife there for lunch ever since so we finally got to go on Monday totally forgetting that they’re closed Mondays, my fault. So then I check their website Wednesday(March23) just to make sure there open at the time we wanna go on Thursday because it’s a 25 minute drive one way for us and already made it once without getting pizza so didn’t want to make the same mistake. Website said they’re open at 11am, perfect!! We get there at 11:30 to find a piece of paper taped to the door saying they are closed from the 24th to 28th with no mention of this on the website. There was no sign on Monday stating they will be closed for a break. Very disappointed they couldn’t take the time to post on the website and save me the time and fuel today. Great pizza but honestly not sure if I’ll go back or keep spreading the word about this place. I know that this is very unlikely coincidence and doesn’t happen much but I just believe if you have posted business hours, you should be open for them and not saying people don’t deserve a “break” but you should at least give fair warning, especially on your own website.
Response to the owner
I appreciate you letting me know. We kind of figured it might’ve been Covid related but your sign said “we’re just taking a much needed break”. if it would’ve just said the truth we would totally understand that. I hope your staff has a full and...
Read moreGreat pizza, bad service.
Went in, looked at the display for pizza they had on hand, and made an order to go. Without any prior interactions, a female employee was incredibly rude as she took my order. Came in mid-day while the shop was empty aside from two people sitting and eating, so there didn’t appear to be a rush either.
She had no greeting, made no eye contact, was visibly impatient as I paid, and spoke with a noticeably rude/snappy tone. I was the only person in line at the time. I then heard her interaction with the customer who came in after me. Her demeanour changed and she sounded friendly while making polite conversation—the complete opposite of what I experienced seconds before. I received blank stares as I picked up my pizza and left. The whole interaction and environment felt unwelcoming during my short (approx. 10 minutes or less) visit.
I’ve recommended Wall Street Slice to others in the past but this experience has changed that. It’s unfortunate that this restaurant’s good food was ruined by their employee’s unnecessary rudeness.
Based on other low star reviews, I am not the only person who has dealt with this employee’s attitude. If basic, entry-level customer service skills can be taught to teenagers, then your employees can...
