Lucky Koi Express Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Winnipeg

possibly one of the worst organized restaurant I've dealt with.

Called on DEC 30th to place a early order for new years. we specifically asked if it was OK to place this far ahead and they said no problem, it will guarantee it will be there on time.

Come the next day and when the food was 20 mins late we called to make sure the order was coming. They asked for our address and told us they were a bit behind and the food was going out the door in the next 10 mins. an hour later we called back when our food hadn't arrived and they suddenly had no order from us, Even when told about the other two calls, we were rebuked with " sorry you must be calling the wrong restaurant."

The service was great: We ordered food for four around 5:50 on a mid-August Thursday night and were told it would be about 20-25 minutes. When we rolled in at 6:10, everything was packaged up and ready to go. We were in and out to pick up food inside of a minute.

The food was super tasty. My children can be very picky eaters, but they loved the food and want to order Chinese all the time when we return home out-of-province. The ginger beef was a touch too spicy for them (they were perfect for the adults) but they won’t stop talking about the chicken balls!

The menu was huge and had a ton of options. We were able to find good favourites while sneaking in lots of veggies...

My mother hasn't eaten Chinese food since she was diagnosed with Celiac in 2011. This weekend I found this wonderful restaurant that has a special gluten free menu! Let's just say my mother was excited to try it! I will say that the very friendly pick up service was excellent. Just to note they open at 4pm and their phone rings of the hook for a bit at opening time. It's that good! We drove from St. Vital to the restaurant because it was a special treat however I do so again and again. The food was tasty and very flavorful. I couldn't tell the difference between the gluten and gluten free dishes. I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel on Portage Street! We are so happy to...
