My family's recent visit to Montana's turned out to be an underwhelming experience, one that left much to be desired, especially in terms of service. It was a dinner plan with my wife and our two young children, ages 6 and 2, expecting a warm, family friendly environment. Unfortunately, the service we received from our server, Tammy, fell significantly short of our expectations, casting a shadow over our entire dining experience.
From the moment we were seated, it felt as though we were invisible. The wait time before Tammy came to greet us and inquire about our drink orders was unacceptably long, leaving us feeling overlooked and undervalued as customers. When she did finally attend to us, her demeanor was far from welcoming. The service was rushed, her attitude off putting, and it seemed as if serving us was the last thing she wanted to be doing. This impression was not alleviated throughout our stay; every interaction with Tammy felt like a burden to her.
Moreover, the lack of basic dining necessities like napkins and cutlery at our table was baffling. Such oversight meant we had to catch the attention of another server just to procure these essentials, a task that further highlighted the inadequate service we were being subjected to. Additionally, when our drinks arrived, only two were brought out, with no explanation or acknowledgment of the missing beverages, forcing us to seek assistance yet again to complete our simple order.
On a positive note, the food, when it arrived, was good. The kitchen may have been a bit overzealous with the sauce on the wings, but overall, the quality of the meal was decent and somewhat mitigated the disappointment we felt with the service. Nevertheless, the pleasantness of the meal could not fully compensate for the overall negative experience.
In summary, while Montana's may offer satisfactory cuisine, the level of service we encountered, particularly from our server Tammy, was far from acceptable. A dining experience is not merely about the food but also about feeling valued and respected as a customer. Unfortunately, on this occasion, Montana's failed to deliver on this front, making it unlikely that we will return or recommend this establishment to others...
Read moreprobably the worst dining experience..waited a very long time to get our order.. shortly after being served a party at our table knocked over a beer..we stood up tried to mop it up..had to wave down a server who handed us napkins and walked away.. a long while later our server appeared and did at least try to wipe up some more..as for the food..18.99 for the worst tasting and worst textured 7 oz AAA sirloin steak...i asked for no onions..specifically..but oh ..here comes my steak with onions..asked them to take that back..get the onions off my plate..as for the steak...no flavour at all and I could not even masticate the first few bits..so I left it uneaten....steak topping was a sizzler mushrooms since they pre -prepare onions with all the mushrooms so not mushrooms cooked with the steak juices....so another 5.99 for mushrooms cooked in something very tasteless..5.99 for a bag salad ..really awful..not what one would expect , nuf said with bag salad..undercooked baked potatoe with a small tub of sour cream which i think i paid extra for that..and a small bit of pretty standard boring cole slaw..sad because i love well made cole slaw..and there are some great recipes but pre -cut cabbage and carrots in weak vinegar is not what i call cole slaw.. ..dont know what the long island ice tea was made of but far far to bitter..say i paid 9 dollars for that..i didnt look..so..probably 38 dollars for the worst meal i ever ate..and the service was awful in our case...will not go back..the lady beside me ordered the pork ribs which she said repeatedly were extremely dry...staff could not have been more unenthusiastic to sing happy birthday to two parties at our table..what a horrible dining experience and no one from our party...
Read moreThe service here is absolutely disgraceful. We have been here more than once and each time we come it has been a similar experience: the staff simply do not care. Customer service in general is pretty much non existent anymore in most places but that doesn't make it acceptable. Going out to eat with little kids is already hard enough as it is, but when the staff make you wait over an hour just to order makes it very difficult to keep little ones entertained long enough just to order let alone wait for the food. Tonight we waited and watched as other tables received service while we hadn't even had the opportunity to order our food. The service was non existent. Another server eventually came out to take our order and when we voiced our concern about the wait time, it was simply ignored and just expected of us to continue waiting. Let me also mention that the restaurant was not very busy. We placed our order only because we were already there and didn't want to leave and go home to cook supper after planning to eat out. By the time we received our food we had requested it to go (which we could have done intentionally by pre ordering!!!!!!!!!!!!!), laid our tab, and left. I know that it doesn't matter in the slightest, but we are absolutely done with this restaurant and will never return. Customer service is an absolute joke these days and...
