I’m a regular here & we often drive from out of town 30 minutes to this location. The line up is much slower than the average Starbucks but I’ve always been very patient and after waiting 20+ minutes on multiple occasions, I know what to expect when going here.
Generally, my experience of the service has always been great and friendly regardless of the speed which always made up for how long it takes. However, the last time we were there the service was one of the worse we’d ever had at any Starbucks locations. We were told they were sold out of iced coffee and cold brew so we asked if they could simply make more. We were told no they couldn’t which we found hard to believe considering they’re a coffee shop.
We weren’t given any alternatives by the staff which, being a long time Starbucks customer I know this is a big no-no. We asked about the nitro brew instead and they were also out of nitro. We then were trying to ask how their iced coffee is made so we could understand the process and they said it takes 10 minutes to make. The lady was very short, frustrated and rude when we were just trying to understand how it works.
We then told her we would be happy to wait the 10 minutes for them to make the iced coffee to which she didn’t seem very thrilled about.
It only took 4 minutes for us to get our iced coffee yet the entire conversation about not having it took probably 10 minutes. Could have saved all the time and frustration by simply saying “We don’t have any iced coffee made at this time however if you’re willing to wait 4 minutes I’d be happy to make some for you”.
We asked if they were training today to try and make sense of this situation that was unlike a Starbucks experience. The lady at the window was very rude and replied “we’re always training”.
Hopefully this review helps the managers & leaders at this location. The slow speed is one thing but you can’t pair that with below average customer service & constantly being sold out of things without offering to make it (even if it takes a couple extra min tires) or at the very least offering alternative options.
UPDATE: spoke with the manager and they were very sorry about our negative experience & appreciative of the feedback. Hopefully it helps improve training at this location for the future. Manager handled situation appropriately. Changed this from a 1...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for a couple years now, and I have always had fantastic service until today. Today, I placed my mobile order before leaving my driveway like I do every other time (a 4 minute drive). The drive thru was short so I decided to pick up in the drive thru, but for some reason today when receiving my order instead of being met with the usual pleasantries I was instead told by Sky that I need to wait longer next time to pick up my order because they need at least 5 minutes (the app tells me 4-7 minutes). I was very taken aback as to why after years I’m being told that I’m doing this wrong….. I pointed out that I have NEVER had an issue with my order timing so asked why it’s a problem now. They told me it’s because they’re really busy so I need to give them at least 5 minutes. I asked what’s the difference if I order at the speaker when I get here - now you have less time to start making it before I’m here. They tried explaining to me how your systems work different for different types of orders, but why is that my problem as the customer? I left with such a horrible taste in my mouth and feel like I just got in trouble.. I shouldn’t be leaving feeling that way.
Honestly, this is the most ridiculous request to ask of a customer. I guess next time I’m supposed to go sit in a parking spot then enter the drive thru so I can wait behind all the new cars that just showed up and place there order at the speaker.
Reading other reviews it sounds like I’m not the first person to have an...
