10/10 – A Sweet surprise at the Farmers Market!

My girls and I went to the farmers market for the first time, and one of the best parts of the day was finding Roll It Up. We’d never seen ice cream made like that before, it’s rolled right in front of you on a cold plate, and my girls were completely into it. Honestly, I thought it was pretty cool too.

The ice cream was super fresh, made with real fruit, and just tasted better than most places we’ve tried. We were lucky enough to meet both of the owners, and they were so kind, welcoming, and hardworking. You could tell they really care about what they do and about giving people a great experience. That kind of energy really made the visit special.

They’ve got two locations now, one with rolled ice cream and herbal teas, and another that offers crepes, waffles, milkshakes, and more. I tried their lemon mint detox drink, and it was honestly so refreshing, not too sweet, just really light and clean. Made me feel like I was doing something good for myself (even while eating dessert!).

The whole vibe was super friendly and welcoming. We had such a great time, and it’s definitely somewhere we’ll be going back to. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should, it’s one of those hidden gems that you’re glad you...

There's something special about the timeless delight of strawberry ice cream - especially when it is rolled up. Hoping for a sweet treat after my first quiz of the semester, I went down to Roll It Up (878 Weber St N, Waterloo, ON N2J 4G8, Canada). Located in one of Waterloo's favorite spots - St. Jacob's Farmers' Market, this rolled ice cream is the perfect treat while you walk through the picturesque artisan market in the warm weather! Topped with a dollop of whipped cream, the rolled up strawberry ice cream was velvety and luscious, with a bright pink shade that seemed to make the day brighter! Each bite was utterly fresh and sweet, with the fruity goodness blending well with the refreshing ice cream. Creamy and indulgent, this was the perfect treat to munch on while I shopped at the farmer's market. Visiting St. Jacob's Farmers' Market is a delightful treat no matter what season it is - with delicious eateries like Roll It Up serving happiness in a bowl along with the friendly service of the staff, a visit here is highly recommended!

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying the mint lemonade from Roll it up at our school event (University of Waterloo), and it was absolutely fantastic! The lemonade was incredibly refreshing with just the right hint of mint, making it a hit with all our students and staff. :D The family running the business was exceptionally helpful, patient, and polite throughout the entire process. They even offered us a generous discount, which we truly appreciated. The location in St. Jacob's is super charming, adding to the overall wonderful experience.

Nothing like a cold and refreshing lemon mint quencher to offset this summer heat. I noticed a big line up in the Waterloo farmers market and had to see what the fuss was about. I now understand! Originally I just wanted a drink but everyone had these rolled up bouquet looking strawberry ice cream cups, after purchasing it I am officially addicted. This is a definite one of a kind establishment that offers very high standard desserts, refreshments and true customer service. Great family owned business, I highly recommend the whole planet to make the trip to Waterloo and experience this outstanding treat.
