From Scratch Bakeshop & Boba — Restaurant in Yellowknife

If you ever find yourself wandering around downtown Yellowknife and craving artisan breads or boba tea, From Scratch Bakeshop and Boba is a fantastic spot to satisfy your cravings.

They offer a great selection of boba teas, and I especially enjoy their brown sugar milk tea. Their baked goods are also worth trying—my personal favorites are the curry bread and the ham and cheese croissant.

While the prices might seem a bit high at first, they are quite reasonable when you consider the cost of ingredients and the challenges of running a business in downtown Yellowknife. For the quality of their products, I believe it’s a fair deal.

One thing to be aware of is that the area occasionally has individuals who may be disruptive, which can make the experience less comfortable at times. Because of this, I sometimes opt for delivery instead. However, this is more of a general downtown issue rather than a reflection of the shop itself.

Overall, From Scratch Bakeshop and Boba is a great place for quality baked goods and drinks, and I’d definitely recommend...

I'm obsessed with this place, and have been since they opened. Everything here is delicious, from the savory curry buns (a lunch favourite of mine) to sweet melon buns (I almost always get the matcha one), to the actual bevvies (my usual is an iced matcha oat latte with tapioca, but since they've gotten popping boba i add the mango ones for an extra bit of sweetness).

The staff is lovely, absolutely perfect every single one of them. They are always very friendly and polite without it feeling forced. The music ranges from chill lofi to lowkey pop music, and as someone who enjoys all music, the vibes are perfect everytime. I love this place...

Literally the best restaurant/cafe in the city of Yellowknife. We’ve stayed in the city for a couple days and were constantly discouraged by the disappointing restaurants in the city. Not until we found From Scratch we finally found some kind of hope in the food scene. The place is located right opposite to the post office, a very convenient location in the downtown. This place offers bread and tea/milk tea that gives a perfect Asian vibe. We got the butter roll bread, custard bread, Vietnamese coffee, and brown sugar milk tea.
