D Concept Design Store — Restaurant in Platô

I asked if they had a caipirinha with passion fruit and the server said yes. We waited 25min for a smoothie and a cocktail. When we finally got our drinks it was a caipirinha with oranges not passion fruit. I said that this wasn't what I ordered but the server didn't understand what I meant so I used google translate and then she said they don't have caipirinha with passion fruit even though she answered yes when I asked her before ordering. She said she'd order a new drink a mojito with passion fruit but half an hour later I still didn't have a drink....

The food was excellent. We ordered a mixed sushi/sashimi platter and it was generally superb (although the salmon sashimi was definitely below par). The waitress was sweet but evidently poorly trained. And did a relatively sophisticated restaurant (design, decor, approach), the music (80s pop/rock hits) was absolutely incongruous. I'd go back, but I'd know what...

Avant de quitter Praia et son Plato, j'ai à nouveau dîné dans ce restaurant, où j'aimais prendre l'apéritif, en terrasse et en musique. Ce qui m'a été servi était excellent, tant au niveau de la cuisson que des saveurs. Ah si, c'était trop copieux et j'en suis même reparti avec un doggy-bag. Et moi qui aime pinailler, je ne peux même pas reprocher les prix, certes élevés pour le Cap-Vert, mais qui en valent la chandelle (expression française s'il en est).

Pour info, à l'instar des serveuses, très professionnelles, le chef cuisinier, cap-verdien-portugais qui concocte ces excellents plats est le propriétaire de l'établissement.

Et avant même de faire péter la CB, prix du Cap-Vert s'entend, mon café était accompagné d'un grogue arrangé léger. Tutto va bene.

Enfin, est-il utile de préciser que je ne photographie quasiment jamais ce qui m'est servi. Je préfère le déguster et ce fût le cas dans...
