Foralin — Restaurant in Sal

Lovely setting and fantastic potential. That's where the compliments finish. Food was terrible I ordered BBQ chicken, this was so dry I felt it must have been cooked at lunch then reheated with a drip of Heinze BBQ sauce added to the top. I was going to write about each dish ordered but all equally bad and best advice I can give us to avoid. We simply paid up and left asap and went for dessert in another restaurant. The vibe of the place does not sit right either. Can't put my finger on it, but it's like no one wants you to be there... Or sorry you are there, can't figure which one. I would advise any other restaurant as probably better...

The location is quite nice on the ocean front with the sound of waves in the background 🌊We took the tuna bacon cream main, it was fresh with a new twist compared to the other dishes we ate elsewhere. There was a band singing in the background🎤 The waiter was friendly and attentive and offered us a taste of the local grog and punch. The plates are more expensive than the average on the island but the atmosphere...

Le beau cadre de ce restaurant en bord de mer nous a attiré. L'hôtesse d'accueil a été très accueillante et gentille. Mais alors, le serveur qui a pris notre commande était très très désagréable. On avait l'impression de le déranger. Nous étions une table de 8, il ne nous a pas donné d'explication sur le menu ou de manière exaspérée. Nous avons attendu près d'une heure nos plats ! Heureusement qu'un autre serveur nous a servi les boissons. A l'arrivée des plats, il nous a servi des plats non commandés, et des plats sans accompagnement Une escalope de poulet en sauce sans accompagnement (ni riz, même pas une feuille de laitue, ni même un morceau de pain)... Ou encore le "plateau de fruits de mer" à 67 € avec seulement 3 gambas, 3 petits morceaux de poulpe et la moitié d'une petite langouste ou plutôt une langoustine toujours sans accompagnement ! (Cj Photo) La facture a été plutôt salée ! Car les prix ne sont pas donnés. Nous avons chèrement payé le cadre ! Nous avons eu une belle vue sur la mer, il y avait aussi une chanteuse pour l'ambiance mais nous avons quitté ce restaurant avec la faim au ventre et le porte monnaie bien allégé ! Dommage pour nous pour ce dernier dîner...
