IF YOU WANT TO BE ROBED IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING, THAT'S THE PLACE TO GO.
We recently had dinner at this restaurant as a group of six. When the waiter came to take our order, some of us chose the "espetada mista" (around €17, served with a side of pasta), while four people ordered the fish of the day. Before ordering, we specifically asked what sides came with the fish, and the waiter told us we could choose between rice, sweet potatoes, vegetables, or regular potatoes. Based on this, of course we assumed the sides were included.
To our surprise, when the bill arrived, each side dish was charged separately, making the final price of the fish of the day nearly as expensive as the lobster. At no point were we told that the sides were not included and when ordering the fish and that they would ONLY SERVE THE FISH WITHOUT ANY SIDES, nor was this information visible on the menu. When we raised this issue with the manager, we were dismissed without much consideration.
We then asked for the complaints book, and it took around 40 mints for them to bring it. When it finally arrived, the book was already completely written in, and the only available page had already been scribbled on — clearly not in a usable condition.
The place is beautiful but the whole situation left a bad impression and ruined our experience. We felt misled and taken advantage of. Transparency and honest communication with customers are the bare minimum any restaurant...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience recently. The views and location are amazing, but the service and food quality were poor. We ordered raw tuna, shrimp cocktail, fries, rice, and soup.
We had to send the food back twice because the orders were incorrect. We finally received the raw tuna dish correctly, but we didn't eat it because the taste was strange. We ended up eating basic fries and two servings of rice with mayonnaise. The shrimp cocktail was tasteless shrimps soaked in mayonnaise, like fast food. The soup was like any fast food soup in taste.
The service was classless and we had to ask for utensils several times and finally get them ourselves.
At the end, when the bill was not included, I went to the counter to pay. Because I understand the local language, I heard the waiters saying that "they really messed up their night, we brought the wrong food and they ended up eating rice with mayonnaise for dinner in practice." I told them that I understand what they are saying, to which they replied "we understand that it was a failed experience."
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. The views and location are great, but the service and food quality are not...
Read moreCracking little seaside restaurant, unfortunately the upper deck was closed due to off season renovations. This restaurant is one of the best on the island and although a fair few reviews note the prices as high and the service as low , our party found it good to great across our table of eight. Oh and something I must mention is the Tuna Tartar. WOW!!!!!! JUST AMAZING . Its defo a place where you get what you pay for....so bear that in mind if you hit the wine list and understand that almost everything has to be flown or ferried to the island the costs need to be past on . Oh nearly forgot the live band...... I'm not a fan of jazz or creole, maybe it's the Company! The location! The wine! The food! But towards the end of the night I was finger tapping the table like I was playing that keyboard and bobbing my head like Nat King Cole. All in all it was a great experience, just give the rest rooms a swerve ......or at least use them before you eat, because they...
