It aint fancy, not does it pretend to be, so whatcha gwan do? Dig in, elbows deep in this smoked, grilled, savory goodness. Chicken and pork, slow smoked to jerked goodness, spiced right and delicious. You might find a few dry spots in the meat, but you also find all the flavor. Sparse dining in options, but hey, they are not known to be fancy, they are known to fill up your tatsebuds and belly with some grilled goodness. Pro tip, get it with a side of Festival, think delicious Johnny Cakes, warm and delicious. Its a nice frugal option to eat well, and get a taste of the local life. For lack of a better term, its good eatin'.

What a fantastic find! A cool jerk hut right in the heart of downtown seaside. Look for the sign and you will find a nice large parking lot and a hardworking crew cooking and serving up some of the best eats on the rock. The smoke is rolling, the music is jammin' and you're sure to meet nice folks who love this jerk hut like I do now. I met a nice chap who was getting soup to go and raving about how delicious it was. The jerk chicken is fantastic with or without the wonderful sauces and the festival is a great side for it. Heck, I bet all the sides and specials are as nice as the chicken. Highly recommended!

The BBQ here was unreal! We got the mixed jerk and both the pork and chicken were absolutely delicious. The hot sauces are homemade and we couldn’t get enough of the flavour. The whole place has such a pleasant and chilled out vibe. It was a relaxing environment with plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your food. You can also cross the road to the beach and eat looking out at the sea. We will definitely make this a regular haunt. The food is wonderful and you cannot beat the prices or portions.

Having no prior experience with 'authentic' jerk chicken, I only ended up here on a recommendation as where to find some. NOW I have a basis on which to judge similar food by.

That said, it was delicious! Loads of flavor on its own, and the 'extreme' sauce was a excellent addition if you like it HOT. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the price for a large order, which included fiesta bread, was very reasonable - the most reasonably priced food I had during our stay! Staff was friendly and very helpful (actually helped us to get a taxi afterwards).

This was EXACTLY the 'unassuming, off-the-beaten-path, down-to-earth, non-touristy and authentic experience' I was looking for; a stop on the way to the airport that I'm glad I made (putting us at potential risk of missing our flight)! Only sorry that I didn't make it here earlier as I would have been back a few times.

This may be harder to find than your average well advertised road side eatery, given the more inconspicuous location, but worth the effort to...

Visiting from Canada. Driving around and looking for a local place to eat. There are chickens running all over the island and have us the idea to find some bbq chicken somewhere. Drive past this backyard bbq place and was drawn in by the amazing smells and cooking smoke. There’s reallly only two things on the menu. Jerk chicken and jerk pork. Have them singles or mixed in large or small. We had a large chicken and a large mixed. After they make it for you fresh, there are a bunch of sauces for you to put on top; ranging from bbq sauce to mild:hot:extreme. The bbq sauce was deep and delicious, the hot sauces were red up to hot range and extreme was green and seedy. My wife loves the hot stuff and was appreciating the hotness of the extreme. All was delicious. Had to fend my wife from my plate as she vacuumed hers up and was prowling for more. Real jerk taste and fresh. Will keep...
