Having no prior experience with 'authentic' jerk chicken, I only ended up here on a recommendation as where to find some. NOW I have a basis on which to judge similar food by.
That said, it was delicious! Loads of flavor on its own, and the 'extreme' sauce was a excellent addition if you like it HOT. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the price for a large order, which included fiesta bread, was very reasonable - the most reasonably priced food I had during our stay! Read moreVisiting from Canada. Driving around and looking for a local place to eat. There are chickens running all over the island and have us the idea to find some bbq chicken somewhere. Drive past this backyard bbq place and was drawn in by the amazing smells and cooking smoke. There’s reallly only two things on the menu. Jerk chicken and jerk pork. Have them singles or mixed in large or small. We had a large chicken and a large mixed. The bbq sauce was deep and delicious, the hot sauces were red up to hot range and extreme was green and seedy. My wife loves the hot stuff and was appreciating the hotness of the extreme. All was delicious. Had to fend my wife from my plate as she vacuumed hers up and was prowling for more. Real jerk taste and fresh. Will keep...
