Tur Hotel Santiago — Restaurant in Estación Central

A hotel just above the bus station is for sure a good idea and I guess most of its guests choose it for this reason. Above all if your bus is in the early morning or late in the evening, it's perfect for it. For any other purpose, I won't choose it. Even if there is a metro station in front of it, the most popular areas of Santiago are far and around it there's nothing interesting. Rooms are small and there's almost no space for luggages or any other stuff, you have to leave everything on the floor. They are really basic and not in the best conditions, the furniture is quite used and it has some scratches, same in the bathroom. The cleaning service is ok, also the wifi connection. Breakfast is included, but it's so minimal, just a hot beverage, some toasted bread to eat with jam, some cereals and nothing more. The staff at the reception is very nice and helpful, they do their best to assist guests. This well-located hotel could and should be so much better. The room was attractive and clean, but only 1 towel was supplied, despite the booking being for 2 persons. Even entering the building was a problem as no sign says pull or push, so it at first appeared closed. There was no hot water, the AC did not work, wi fi was only available in Reception. The coffee machine at breakfast was not working. Convenient location on a floor above the bus station (terminal Alemeda). Easy access to/from the airport. Inexpensive buses run every 30 minutes. Several grocery stores and eateries in immediate area. Shopping, fast food and cambio on lower floors of building. Connecting walkway to subway system.||||Room needs to be updated. Not enough towels.
