We stumbled upon XiYuanJu by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best hot pot experiences we’ve ever had.
First, a note for anyone looking for it: as of August 2025, the Google Maps location is incorrect. The restaurant is actually in the same building as Ms Na but on the 3rd floor, about 400 meters north of the marked spot, still on Meishi Street in No. 6 Building, W Area, Beijingfang. We only found it by luck, but once we walked in, we were immediately drawn to the elegant concept and atmosphere.
The restaurant itself is stunning—modern yet traditional, stylishly decorated with great attention to detail. The ambiance feels warm and upscale, making it one of the most stylish hot pot places we’ve been to.
The food was absolutely brilliant. The hot pot setup is exceptionally well executed, with plenty of fresh ingredients to choose from: a wide selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables (great for both meat lovers and vegetarians). The soup bases were rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the high-quality ingredients. Every dish was beautifully presented, from the thinly sliced meats to the creative appetizers.
Service was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. It really added to the whole experience.
Overall, XiYuanJu is not just one of the best hot pot meals we’ve ever had, but also one of the most stylish. If you’re in Beijing and love hot pot, this is...
