BAD EXPERIENCE IN OVERALL.
If you are thinking in going to the ¨standard double room¨ of this hotel, don´t go. I don't know about the rest of the rooms. They obviously paid a very good photographer as the photos of the hotel and rooms are stunning but the finishes of those are a shame (see pictures attached). We went there to stay for a week having spent a huge amount of money from our savings. We paid through our agency the Delux Double bedroom and we were given a standard double room. The room we were given was all black and had no real window, extremely dark, so dark we couldn't even find our stuff in there. Also, it was very claustrophobic and extremely warm and badly finished. Because of all that, we asked for a change of room and we were given the "only one free" within the price range we "paid". The new room was all white, extremely badly finished (see pictures) and 5 Sqm smaller than the previous but with a window. Located in the ground floor beside the hotel back door! (yuhu!). We were so upset that we started checking our booking confirmation from the agency. Then was when we found out that we had actually paid a more expensive room and not the one we were given. After contacting our agency, they told us the hotel said they had all rooms were booked and they couldn't change us to the more premium room we had paid for (we are still fighting with the agency about this). Summarising, this hotel is a "wanna be". Also, the breakfast offer is pure and the pastries are kind of from the day before.
Good facts: the staff is friendly and polite enough and in the reception all the ones we talked to spoke good enough english. The location of the hotel is ideal and they have a top roof terrace with amazing views and a pool.
I will never recommend this hotel to anyone but of course I congratulate the photographers as they did an amazing job lying to us. 15 min away you have more amazing hotels (like our friend's) with amazing room and finishes for the same price.
We deeply regret having stayed...

It was also extremely easy to get to from the airport, we took the train both ways. |The breakfast selection was just fantastic! Probably the best out of everywhere we stayed. Buffet style appealing to all cultures and fresh cooked options too. |The rooms I have to say were somewhat disappointing, no where near a slick as they appear in the photos and looking quite tatty around the edges if I’m honest. We also didn’t get much hot water to be able to enjoy the luxuriously sized shower. |The biggest disappointment for us was that we had book the hotel and felt comfortable with the price based on it having an indoor spa pool and a restaurant, neither of which it turns out any longer exist and without them we did not feel it was good value for money. |I must also warn you that half the internet seems to be censored in China, so my advice to plan, book and print and thing you want to do before you go. We couldn’t use our gmail or a number of apps. It’s also very difficult to connect to any WiFi out and about. I’d like to compliment the city, in particular the area around the Emperor hotel on it’s cleanliness. No litter in sight and all the mopeds are electric! Despite it being a bustling city, very few places (not even the train station) accept card payments and I’d also suggest having things written down in Chinese as we found that there was very little English spoken. Everyone we met though in particular the hotel staff where very friendly...
Read moreGreat hotel. We were on in Beijing for 3 nights and had our baby with us so wanted a nice hotel in a great location. This met that requirement. ||||The main selling point is that the hotel is situated in a truly great location on Qianmen Street which we thought was incredible. So beautifully designed with incredible street art, architecture, shops and restaurants. And ofcourse this leads to Tianaman Square and The Forbidden Palace - both in walking distance. So an ideal place to stay with transport links allowing you to explore the rest of the city.||||The hotel itself was really cool, very modern. It had all the amenities you would expect, breakfast was served in a really funky looking room (felt like an underground bar). It was quite dark everywhere but to be honest that was a nice relaxing vibe after being in a busy hectic city. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave nice advice and tips to get around the Chinese internet! (tip... get a VPN before you get there - even if you dont want to use the internet on holiday, its pretty essential for travel planning in China we found).||||We booked a Soak King Room which was all white. It was great with the main feature being a huge round spa bath. We were there in December so it was lovely relaxing in this as the snow fell outside.||||On the rooftop was a restaurant/bar. Only gripe we had with this hotel was their refusal to serve us food when we arrived 1 minute after food service ended. Bit frustrating as it was 11:01 at night and everywhere else was shut and we had a child. But like most of China, they set a rule and really stick to it!||||But great place to stay in...
