The hotel’s location is the only good thing about the hotel. It’s in Qianmen Dajie. Cons: hotel has no windows in most guest rooms but there’s a fake one that lights up when your neighbouring room has their lights turned on. There is no soundproofing at all. You can hear your neighbours’ conversation and hallway sounds clearly! Our ventilation fan was so loud that it sounded like a helicopter is running and the whole room was shaking. Luckily we arrived early and the maintenance guy was on duty to change the whole motor and fan. However, our neighbour’s fan was the same and they didn’t complain so our room was roaring every time they turn on their fan! Floor is not clean enough to walk in bare feet. Bathroom needs maintenance throughout. There’s black spots on all the caulking and silicone. The shower curtain is very stained. They upgraded us to the second floor, which is much appreciated, cuz we went to the basement floor to do our laundry and it was where our original room was, it’s smells so humid and gross in that floor! Laundry is not free. And like all 4 star hotels in China, cigarette smell in the hallways all the time even though they claimed to be a nonsmoking hotel. Did not get their breakfast as there’s plenty of restaurants outside the hotel. Not recommended unless you are...
Read moreI recently stayed at YiTingZhenShe Hotel (QianMen) for 9 nights and had a pleasant experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to major attractions like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Dashilan, and the Temple of Heaven. It’s also close to Zhushikou Metro Station, which made getting around Beijing simple and hassle-free.The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and even surprised me with a complimentary room upgrade—thank you for that! Their warm and welcoming attitude really made my stay more enjoyable. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for my extended visit. I particularly appreciated the unique decor and ambiance of the hotel, which gave it a charming, traditional vibe.Overall, this hotel is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a combination of convenience, great service, and a touch of old Beijing charm. I’d happily stay here again on my next visit to Beijing....
Read morePerfectly located in Qianmen Street, it's very central and grants easy access to everything (restaurants, street food, metro, main attractions). I love the general feel of the hotel. Service was also great: the girls at the desk were always lovely and helpful, even if they couldn't understand English. We communicated via translator apps, and they helped me whenever I needed it. I got upgraded for free, and the room was spacious and felt nice. The bathroom was also ample and had a great bathtub. My first impression was great. Unfortunately, there were a few issues: the water drain seemed to leak water onto the floor whenever I took a bath, and the walls were thin enough that I could hear the next door guest snore. The windows are also impossible to open, and the A/C is very loud so I couldn't leave it on at night. There were a few other things, like the downstairs door button sometimes coming off: nothing that would ruin an experience, but definitely an underlying problem with the general structure, more than...
