Returning to Guangzhou feels like coming home to a feast. I couldn’t wait to dive into its famous Cantonese delicacies—roast goose and fried pigeon. These dishes aren’t just food; they’re a testament to years of skill and tradition. The fried pigeon, with its juicy meat and perfectly crispy skin, is a masterpiece. Getting the flame just right for that balance is no easy task. And the roast goose? It’s hands down the best I’ve ever had. Tender, flavorful, and slow-roasted to perfection after marinating in spices overnight—it’s everything I love about Cantonese food.
The yellow croaker fish cooked in a clay pot was another highlight, its flavors so rich and comforting. The garlic spare ribs paired perfectly with my Baijiu, making every bite unforgettable. Even the simple fried vegetables with garlic had a way of hitting all the right notes—sometimes it’s the simplest dishes that bring the most joy.

The decor was absolutely amazing—the restaurant extends across a bunch of private dining rooms as well as a beautifully decorated open space. The service was very comforting and super friendly.

We decided we really wanted to try the truffle chicken so we preordered one and came back the next morning. IT WAS 10000% worth it.
