Baking Maniac — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

The food was decent but definitely overpriced for the quality. I was extremely disappointed with the service and especially the minimal amount of communication. I felt there was a real lack of care to ensure we received the product punctually and at its best. What made matters worse was the delivery person went to the wrong place and arrived 45 minutes late despite having the correct address. Even if they had gone to the right location it would have been over 25 minutes late. This made the event run behind schedule and created unwanted stress. Then the receipt was not included and the owner refused to answer the phone which caused hours of uncertainty. I had high hopes, but I won’t be using this service again...

We ordered cake pops and a buttercream iced cake for our daughter’s birthday party on very short notice after an issue with another supplier. Baking Maniac could not have been more accommodating to us. Excellent customer service, high end quality cakes with excellent presentation boxes for a party and each with exceptional taste. They will be our go-to baker for cakes going forward and we can’t recommend them highly enough.

The cake pops are also particularly great for including with party bags for children to take home, saving a lot of the mess you would have with cake being cut and served, which can be done at the party...

I ordered a birthday cake from Baking Maniac. We had a comprehensive discussion on my specifications and what was available and possible. I asked for an elegant classy cake, made from butter sponge and a light textured icing. Instructions were carefully executed.The result was amazingly beautiful and tasted wonderful. All my guests complimented me on the cake. Furthermore nothing was too much trouble for this mother and son team. Professional through and through, everything worked perfectly and they went the extra mile to fix a small problem which arose before the party. I thoroughly recommend...
