Negligent and Poorly Managed - Do Not Recommend
Our experience with APA was deeply disappointing and concerning on multiple levels. The lack of organization and care is unacceptable for a service responsible for children.
First, the management is chaotic. First day was already confusing, they are behind schedule without a clear or valid explanation. Just a message in the group saying they’d be late without clear instructions or backup plans for the kids while we are already on the way for drop-off. Their excuses were vague and felt like just that—excuses. It's incredibly disrespectful of parents' time.
Secondly, when we emailed with questions and concerns, we were completely ignored—no response at all. This is simply unprofessional.
Most alarmingly, my child came home with a couple cuts on his hand that happened at camp. We were never notified of the incident. We only found out because he told us he got cut from the barnacles. A camp's first responsibility is the safety of the children, and their second is transparent communication with parents. They failed on both counts.
We cannot in good conscience recommend this camp. The poor communication and lack of transparency about injuries suggest a deeply flawed and negligent operation. Look elsewhere for your child's...
