Asura — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Food is mediocre and very small portion for the price charged. Their signature dish where they tag their shop name on - the "Thai dip noodle" is over $100+ and amount of noodles are so little. We picked the "red curry" dip sauce, it's very thick - almost like the satay sauce you would use when eating chicken skewers, tastes nothing like red curry, and 90% like peanut curry sauce. it is very hard to dip the noodles in and taste is not good either. I have tried similar dip noodle dishes in Bangkok and they can taste very nice if done right.

Prawn patties is the best dish of tonight. Fried veg is average and a bit on the overly salty side. The chili paste stir fry seafood is the biggest disappointment - seafood are all frozen and have no seafood taste at all, portion is very small as well - a rip off for $138 (?).

May 31st, late lunch. The restaurant was not busy when we walked in. Quickly decided what to order and signaled the waitress over. She was non-Chinese, Filipino I believe. Even before I could say what I wanted, she snapped at me pointing to the QR code on the table. "CAN YOU USE THIS?" she said. And believe me, she was not suggesting. Her tone was very demanding, and she wasn't smiling at all. Wow, the attitude! I was honestly too shocked to react. Witnessing this, another waitress came over immediately and took our order.

As for the food ~ flavourful, but don't count on being full afterwards. The portions are very small, totally not worth the price. The Thai dipping noodle with tiger prawns in red curry only had 2 prawns. And the shrimp cakes are mini, way smaller than those you would get at other Thai...

It tastes nothing like their Tsim Sha Tsui east location, not even remotely comparable. The service was standard and the atmosphere was a standard cliche mall renovation. If you have expectations that it will taste like their Tsim Sha Tsui east location, keep in mind that it is the same menu, but it tastes completely different. FYI: Don’t get me wrong, But their tst OG location still taste very very yummmmy, was there last week...
