Dining time(1:08pm lunch) follow@wojengyea/@wo!正嘢 for more food info🐒 I used to work nearby few years back, and I would often come over to eat. I remember the barbecue pork being delicious 🍖 and very flavorful. But when I came back after 8 years, the quality had declined significantly.

The barbecue pork rice 🐽had a few pieces of barbecue pork on top, which tasted great when mixed with the rice. The flavor was rich and fragrant. However, except for a couple of pieces that were still good, the rest of the barbecue pork was too tough and difficult to chew. The barbecued spare ribs in the rice dish were overly dry and lacked juiciness. The bones 🦴 🦴 🦴 were large and there was very little meat on them. As for the barbecued goose rice, the roasted goose was extremely salty! The rice portion 🍚 was normal, but it wasn't enough for a man. They were willing to offer a bit more rice for us though.

The yuen yang coffee was too strong in flavor and lacked balance. On the other hand, the milk tea was smooth and quite enjoyable. ☕️🥛

As for the ambiance of the restaurant, it had several round tables typical of a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. If a large group of people were to dine there, they could have conversations comfortably. This time, the three of us sat in a corner, and it was quite cramped. It took some effort to squeeze out of...

When staying at the regal hotel this is the ideal place for meals. It was on the news for how good it's roast pork was. The staff are very welcoming and quick with service. It was a comfort to know that if I didn't find anywhere good for food I always had this to fall back on when I got back to the hotel. (Sometimes I would end up not going to other places because I wanted this instead) the prices are very reasonable too. I had an American man ask me what I ordered and how to pay and other steps, so if you are visiting and are unsure... I suggest the chat sui (honey roast pork) and the ribs pictured below (maybe show them this picture) then choose a saucy thing of your taste and some good old fashioned boiled rice. They will bring your bowl and cups with tea for you to rinse everything in (cups, chopsticks etc) to pay take the receipt they have put on your table and take it to the counter which is just outside then poker face it when you think they've undercharged you for the meal (it actually is that cost) but if they catch on they might...

Name of restaurant translates into "King of Char Siu". We (3 of us) had the Regular portion Char Siu, Regular portion Roasted Goose, Typhoon Shelter Style Egg Plant, Rice x3, and Tea. Char Siu and Roasted Goose are alright, nothing to complain about, not chewy/lean, nicely seasoned, but it didn't WOW me given they claim themselves the King of Char Siu (until you take the price under consideration). Egg Plant is a surprise on the other hand, this is my first time having eggplant in Typhoon Shelter Style (Chilli, Garlic, Black Beans, Onion deep fried)and I am a big fan now. I will consider trying everything in the Typhoon Shelter style. Rice is rice...
