c!ty’super New Town Plaza — Local services in Hong Kong

LOVE coming here for a few reasons—courteous service, so many staff at the store to help you with everything you need—except the promotional counters near the front of the store. The COFFEE COUNTER has amazing coffee. THE BAKERY has good amount of yummy bread items. I wish they have a fresh-out-of-the-oven sign light. It was an unforgettable experience for eating a warm French style bread. Wont share which ones cause they always sold out when they are announced in the public reviews. Lol. SALAD BAR staff are really patient and polite with customers like always.

There are a lot of great quality products and an expansive array of items in different categories which make a great shopping experience here.

The store is always crowded but not overwhelming like the one in TST. It’s nice to shop here. The checkout line is always quick with attentive staffs who care for the packing. There are also self checkout kiosks as well.

I’ve tried getting Chinese dry goods from the counter. Not a lot of choices but the quality is great. Smaller sizes would be a great choices for tourists to sample different products and good for convenience. Most products are in large packaging sizes.

Love the cheese counter, the deli, sushi, the meat and seafood counter as well. For some reasons, I have never tried the juice bar. Maybe it’s the display and arrangement of that particular section. It could look more hygienic. Maybe smoothies would be a great serving option like Jamba Juice.

Many people enjoy the oyster bar. Seemed like the sitting area is always full. There are many options for pastry and chocolate counters as well. Obanyaki counter is wonderful. It is no healthy snack but once in a while is totally appropriate. I wish they also sell HK style pastry such as egg waffles and real hkg egg tarts so there’s no need to walk over to the other side of the mall to get one.

There are many fun and useful kitchenware and small appliances too. They carry good brands!

Taxi stand and parking is so near to this store area. Always thankful for this convenience.

The management and the training team of this company should work with the HK tourism board and especially working w training the taxi company. So this whole city would be more welcoming. And perhaps one day would be and could win the friendliest place in the world. That would be a...

This is the largest and overall best International supermarket north of Kowloon. The City Super at New Town Plaza is a good place for western export fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, meats, cheese and other quality international boxed and canned goods that are not usually found in our traditional local supermarkets around Hong Kong.

You can also buy prepared wraps, sandwiches, salads, sushi boxes as well as cooked foods like chickens that are pretty good if you are looking for something you can simply take home, heat up and eat.

The cheese counter at this City Super is usually quite good with a fair range of French, Italian, English and Dutch cheeses. There is usually a Manchego or other Spanish cheese as well as a small selection of pates, olives and other light bites to pick up as well. Wine and spirits selection is ok. I come from u.k and I am a korean person, I visited city super in shatin yesterday bought some fruit , korean cold noodle(동치미 물랭면) etc.....total spent more than $ 1. 700. cherry fruit bought 2 package but absolutely not freshly; cherry tomatoes bought one package but in the middle 6 pieces alredy rotten; Cold noodle (50%off) bought one package but the soup tasty alredy changed couldn't eat. Every year I visited Hong Kong one or twice , and most visited the shop , this time I was absolutely disappointed will not visited again, high price lower quality now.
