We went in the restaurant for a quick dinner looking at the well presented/displayed food (pork belly, chicken, roasted duck etc.) in the show-like kitchen facing the street.

We ordered rice mixed with Char Siu (bbq pork) and chicken rice dish which was supposed to be to be something g like hainanese chicken rice. The quality of both dishes were much lower than mediocre. The pork belly skin was much less crispy as it is supposed to be and the taste of the char Siu was not as tasty as in other “simple” restaurants in HKG.

The chicken rice was just bad. The rice was dry, no taste and destroyed the entire dish. I ordered chicken breast and instead, they served me other parts of the chicken which I did not prefer. The chicken meat was simply greasy and tasteless. Not even the three sauces were able to uplift the quality and taste of the chicken. Both dishes did not include any kind of greens which should be typically served together.

Surely not going back to the restaurant and I cannot recommend both dishes I ordered. The service was not worth mentioning, although there is nothing to...

We had our lunch here and were genuinely impressed by how satisfying everything was. We ordered a lunch set that came with char siew, roasted pork, and rice which is a classic combo that was rich in flavor. The char siew was tender with a nice caramelized glaze, and the roasted pork had perfectly crispy skin.

We also tried the another plate with Chinese cured meats served over white rice. It had that unmistakable comforting taste that you only get from well-prepared preserved meats which is savoury, rich in flavour, and incredibly aromatic.

To round things off, we shared a triple sandwich with ham and scrambled eggs. It was served Hong Kong-style, toasted and buttery, and made for a perfect, light finish to the meal.

Everything was well-portioned, tasty, and reasonably priced at HKD149 for all three items. The service was efficient, and the setting had a clean and cozy feel. Definitely a place I’d return to for a casual,...

Latest update: just had lunch with family here again as we were running out of time, then immediately decided to change my rating from 2 stars to 1 star.

I ordered the bbq pork and chicken, and it looked like leftover food. When I spoke to the staffs, they just kept asking another one to come over. We totally got pissed by their foods plus their services.

Guys, trust me! You deserve way better than this.

I should supplement a bit more here to justify my review - don’t expect more than you pay for the food and service - just...

Breakfast around 9:30, seated right away. Ordered European breakfast and Pineapple bun with butter, both with ice lemon tea. The European breakfast was good, but didn't like the pineapple bun. The bun was heated by microwave. Everything came to HK$77, i gave $127, wanted a $50 dollar bill back, but no... they do not accept coins for payment. 🤷‍♂️
