The Hong Kong Coliseum proved to be an exceptionally accessible venue, with a wide array of transportation options available, including buses, trains, and taxis, all seamlessly connecting to its location. I visited the venue to attend a show and I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the security team. Despite the large number of attendees, the queue moved remarkably quickly, allowing us to enter the venue with minimal delay, which set a positive tone for the evening. Once inside, the Hong Kong Coliseum exceeded expectations. The air-conditioning was perfectly calibrated, providing a cool and comfortable environment even with a full house. The interior was impeccably clean, reflecting a high standard of maintenance. The seating was thoughtfully designed for comfort, allowing me to relax and fully immerse myself in the show. The stage visibility was outstanding, with strategically placed large screens ensuring that every detail of the performance was crystal clear, even from seats...

One of the worst in terms of operations management. We came for a sports competition. Ushers made a fuss over ridiculous restrictions like: Cannot use a mobile phone camera stand (even when it’s sitting within my seat between my legs), cannot have inflatables (even though it’s small like the size of my forearm), gives you dirty looks when making noise cheering. This is a SPORTS event.

Athletes going around interacting with their international counterparts. The ushers kept shooing them away and dispersing them. Besides the competition, a major part of a sports event, is to foster relationships. Why go out of your way to disrupt this international camaraderie?

The management needs to wake up their idea when hosting international...

hong kong coliseum (stadium), located at the Kowloon Bay, can really see the opposite side of the river nearest subway station will be Hung Hom station, just about 100 meters away traffic nearby is usually extremely busy, not least during some activities (eg. concerts, sports competition, carnivals etc) and also take note that the road system nearby is very complexed. there are a lot boutique hotels at the surrounding, and each hotel usually has its own road for cars to park at its front gate, and such road is not usually designed for pedestrains, so u probably have to walk on the curb if you unfortunately get lost in this labyrinth however there are always some patrol police nearby so feel free to...

On April 12, 2023, my wife took to see the Sam Hui concert here. The performance at the venue triggered collective memories decades decades ago. I was delighted that my wife enjoyed the show thoroughly. Postscript On 23 June, 2024, my wife took me here to watch the Johnny Yip show. It was the singer’s first show in the Hong Kong Coliseum at the age of 80. We were among the 12,000 audience. The encore part made a difference as the audience sang for the singer.
