Let me start saying that this hotel is a really good hotel! To go further in-depth of what you need to know, first off, the staff is really nice and professional! When you first walk in, a person would be there to hold the door open for you, the other person would walk over to get your luggage to be place on a cart to take up for you to your room. Another part of the hotel I like is the view from the hotel, where you get a view of Hong Kong and the other side of the hotel, where you can see the "sister hotel", HarbourView Horizon and the streets of Hung Hom. Inside of your hotel room, I love the layout of the place to where you have have a bit of space to roam around, your bedroom is not too small but not too big also. Another is the bathroom, to see when you come into your hotel room and see how clean the bathroom and overall place is!
Second off, what I also like about Harbourfront Hotel is that they have a little place to eat called Cafe D and Cafe D has a great selection of pretty cheap priced food, drinks and pastries to pick from to start your day off right! The hotel provides a shuttle that goes from Harbourfront Hotel to HarbourView Horizon to Tsim Sha Shui, right next to the MTR station (really convenient) and get to take the shuttle back to your hotel that you are staying at. Overall, the stay at this hotel was the most pleasant, the staff was most definitely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The hotel itself was very clean, neat and a place I would most definitely recommend to those who are coming to stay in Hong Kong for a couple of weeks.
**Note: This part of the review is just for fun, but as you walk to the front of the hotel, you will be able to walk on a path where a lot of people hang out, exercise and relax, I have posted a video of when I was there during New Years 2017 and the view of the fireworks was remarkable! Yes, it isn't the BEST view as some people were closer at the time but this hotel definitely has one of the greatest view of the New Year firework display and it was...

Stay well clear of Horizon Hotels (Harbourfront Horizion & Harbourview)
Paper thin walls made it Impossible to sleep. You could hear the people above flushing the toilet! In the end we had to terminate our lease it was that bad. This meant that we had to forfeit 2.5 months rent (50K HKD/4K GBP/3K USD), due to the ridiculous contract they rope you into. I mean minimum 6 month lease for a hotel suite? It all makes sense now. fcuking con!!!
Rock hard beds. I ended up with sore hips it was that bad.....and i'm an extremely healthy 33 year old man. We had to go to Ikea to buy mattress toppers just to add a bit of padding which set us back 1.5K HKD. The bed linen was like cardboard. Yet again another trip to Ikea which was an additional 1K HKD.
1960's decor (see pictures). My Grandparent's house had more style that this place.
Arrogant staff. Simple mistake when paying the first months rent (we're from the UK so we were not familiar with the checking account concept of transferring cash from savings to checking to cover the cheque that we wrote to cover the rent). The day after the rent was due they locked us out of our apartment and demanded that I march down the bank and lift the cash for the rent as this was the only way they would unlock our apartment. It was the end of the day and the banks were closing in 10 mins. I sat there arguing in the hotel lobby for well over an hour. All the while my 14 month old daughter is screaming with tears as she is now overdue her dinner. In the end they unlocked the apartment due to me screaming at the top of my lungs and creating such a scene in the lobby which all other guests got to hear very clearly.
This is the worst experience of staying in a hotel I have EVER had. This is well on par with staying at a YMCA. Actually that's not fair......staying at a YMCA would be more comfortable and at least you'd be able to get a decent nights sleep.
Please please please do not make the same gross mistake that my...
Read moreJust returned on Sunday from 7 nights in a 2 bedroom suite (room 1617) with my partner and mother. Given the negative reviews, we were dubious about the standard of the hotel suites, but actually it was much better than expected. The suite looked exactly like the photos and both bedrooms had wardrobes and desks so plenty big enough. Yes, the beds were hard but we managed to sleep well. Aircon units provided in both bedrooms and living area. Yes, the sofa has no back cushions but we didn’t mind and there is a massive TV. The bathroom was clean and compact and we had fresh towels every day. The kitchen came equipped with kettle, mugs, classes, teaspoons, fridge and microwave. We used the laundry facility (6 x 5HKD coins for 30 minutes washing but didn’t bother with dryer). The pool was huge and just like the photos - I believe it had been recently renovated. To access the pool, you have to use your hotel room card to access the changing area (which was clean & very spa like). ||Pros:|1. Harbour front view|2. Free shuttle bus (1 every hour) to & from TST|3. Swimming pool|4. Layout of suite - perfect for 3 adults|5. Fresh towels every day|6. Kettle for tea making & large fridge for storing milk|7. 100m from Hung Hom ferry terminal which took you to Central in 15 mins|8. 10 min walk to Whampoa for shops, including an excellent food court, and MTR|9. Clean - we had no issues with the maintenance or cleanliness of the hotel|10. Plenty of taxis outside the hotel||Cons|1. Kitchen came with a hob but no utensils or bowls/plates|2. No aircon in corridors so you would sweat just walking to the lift|3. Hung Hom MTR was possibly the nearest MTR station but the hotel shuttle did not go there|4. We hardly ever saw anyone use the hotel restaurant|5. The hotel might be building a new front entrance because the bus stop for the free shuttle bus is not immediately obvious, and we mistakenly stood at the wrong bus stop for the...
