This is my 4th or 5th time staying in your hotel this year. I work between HK and China and I had always stayed at your hotel during my trip in HK. I liked your hotel due to its modern and stylish decor design. However, Every time I stayed, your service disappoints me more where it has reaches to point that I'm thinking of staying with another property when I visit HK next time. I always beleived the past is the past so I had never logged a complaint with you in my previous stays because from the attitude of your staff, I do not think service is a priority in SAV hotel.
Since I just receveid this survey from you after I checked out few hours ago, I decided to share you my experience.
No power plug in room for use, I have to unplug the in room guest phone to spare one power plug.
TV has alot of static.
They do not vaccum the floor during their morning housekeeping.(saw biscuit crumps on the floor two night in a row)
A/C in gym is so weak that the oxygen level is so low to catch a breathe when I jog.
Your so called "bar table" area is sooo bright where it is not enjoyable to sit for a drink"
The above five things are non related to services and it is just some feedback for your reference.
Lift design - I stayed at the 16/F...and going from gym 6/F back to 16/F is super frustrating as ONLY one of your lifts reaches to 16/F. When that lift keeps going down, it took me forever to reach that lift heading up. (since your other lift that only reaches to 13/F keep coming to me). Hope you get what i mean
Room is super humid and the blanket has a bad smell. -Worst part of my stay. Im not sure what happened but when i first stepped into the room, it has this super humid smell so I have turned on the A/C under 20c whole day n night shivering before the smell can disappear. However, the smell of the blanket remains unacceptable but yet I just slept through my first night as Im too tired. When I request to have the blanket change on the second night, I explained the story to your house keeping staff. Not only did she not only show ANY sympathy, the first question she asked was......"mo lay yau ga wor~ I just changed the blanket cover this morning, is it the blanket or the blanket cover that it smells?" To be frank, I'm sorry that Im not a sniffer dog hence I cannot identify whether the smell is coming from the blanket cover or the blanket which is covered inside the cover. So I asked her nicely that can she just simply change the banket along with the cover? She then gives me a ridiculous excuse and said " ALL our blankets in the hotel are the same, so it is useless even you change" .......WOW at that point Im sorry I lost my temper and told her bluntly, "YES all your blankets may look the same in style, but are you telling me ALL of them are so humid and stink that bad?" then she go ahead and exchange with an unwilling look on her face. However, the problem immediately solved!!! I do not understand why your staff tries to take advantage of a guest who is being nice and only serve when a customer shows anger. I had used to work in the luxury service industry for decades so I always tried to be patient and reasonable as a customer. However, it seems your staff only serves when a...

The room I stayed in was a room on the 22nd floor which I was upgraded to after booking a "superior" room. The room design, lighting and furniture/devices are all modern and up to date, like the rest of the hotel. If you are like me used to European/American hotels, the rooms will strike you as being very small at first, with a single 2-person bed taking up a significant amount of the space. The bathroom is also fairly small but includes a roomy shower and all the amenities you would expect. The room is very well cleaned. One complaint I do have is that the shower seemed to have a very inconsistent water pressure, varying a lot during a session. The bed is fairly short and might be a little hard if you're not used to it. For me, it was perfectly comfortable.
The room also includes a free minibar with 4 drink cans (apparently can get fully replenished once during your stay, didn't test if they replace it only once). Wi-fi is also free and fast. Additionally, there is a smartphone on the night stand that has free 3G internet in Hong Kong which you can take with you. If you use it as a hotspot you can use your own phone with it. This was an incredibly useful service provided by the hotel.
Location: The hotel is located in the Hung Hom area, which is mostly a residential neighbourhood with a lot of hole-in-the-wall shops and restaurants focused at the locals. The hotel is located at roughly a 10 minute walk from Hung Hom station (with clear signage). Hung Hom station even has signage for which exit you should take. The hotel also offers a useful free shuttle service which brings you to this station, Tsim Sha Tsui, or Kowloon station (from which you can transfer to the airport express). Bus A22 is most likely the fastest way to get from the airport to the hotel, stopping at less than a 5 min walk from the hotel.
The hotel serves OK continental breakfast at a reasonable rate, provided you reserve beforehand. If you don't, the cost doubles. They also offer buffet dinner, but the prices are fairly steep for that, so I did not try it.
Would definitely choose this hotel again if I ever find myself...
Read moreStay was satisfactory...although check in did take quite awhile and probably took around 15 minutes or so. But to be fair, I was checking in and also asked the agent to look into two future reservations for my mom as well. Still, it seemed a little slow until she got my set of keys to my first room.
Furthermore, the rate that I booked SHOULD have included this, as stated in my email confirmation and online booking engine stated it as well: Complimentary Bottle of Wine & Fruit Plate. Priority free upgrade to next room category (subject to hotel availability). Complimentary use of Handy Phone with 3G. access.Complimentary mini bar (one full stock per stay).Rate subject to 10pct service charge. (Frequent flyer points will not be counted in conjunction with this promotion.)
However, I did not receive a complimentary bottle of wine. On two separate reservations I made for my mom staying after me, this occurred as well. The booking was supposed to include complimentary bottle of wine but both her stays did not get that either.
Maybe should review with staff on what is included for each Rate Types so that it can be prepared beforehand? When my mom asked during her stay, she was told the property does not do complimentary wine and that she has never heard of this before and they don't offer this. She suggested that maybe it was booked through a third party. But I know for a fact it was not booked through third party cause I went all through your website. I have all the email confirmation sent forth by Hotel Sav.
Other than that the staff were pleasant and when I did ask for hangars or laundry bags, deliver was prompt. Also, they fixed one of the electrical units promptly as well.
One thing that was odd is that staff member rang our doorbell on two separate nights. Once I opened and she asked if I needed towels.....? Didn't call to ask for it but she looked confused herself too.
Apparently on another night it was only my mom and she was in the bathroom so couldn't come out to open the door and apparently the staff came in. She got pretty startled.
Hotel is...
