I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shreengkhala Curry House in Hong Kong, and I must say that it was an absolutely delightful experience that deserves a solid 5-star rating! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home.
The ambiance of the restaurant is charming and inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary decor. It's the ideal setting for an authentic Indian culinary journey, and it immediately set the stage for an incredible dining experience.
The menu at Shreengkhala Curry House is a culinary masterpiece. The variety and quality of dishes they offer are truly remarkable. From classic favorites like butter chicken and tikka masala to lesser-known regional delicacies, every dish I tried was bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the spices were expertly balanced to create a symphony of tastes that left me craving for more.
One thing that truly stood out was the exceptional level of service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. They guided us through the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring that all our dietary preferences and allergies were taken into account. The attention to detail in providing excellent customer service was evident throughout the meal.
The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation of each dish was artfully done. They even accommodated our request for various spice levels, ensuring that every guest had a personalized and enjoyable experience. Whether you prefer mild, medium, or hot, they've got you covered!
To top it all off, the prices at Shreengkhala Curry House are incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. It's rare to find such a combination of affordability and excellence in one place, and this alone is a reason to keep...
Read moreThis is our favourite curry house in HK. Of course we haven't visited them all but we keep coming back here as the food is superb. Tucked away in Long Ping it feels like a little secret but it has been here for many many years, so that says all you need to know. The restaurant itself is a little tired and in need of a spruce up, but you don't come here to look at the decor, it's all about the food. All dishes can be customised to your level of heat and if we are in a group we can order a range of spiced dishes. We have always found their ability to keep the depth of flavours whilst also adjusting the spice level/balance to be perfect. Our Top Recommendations would be sizzling plate Chicken Tikka starter, Beef Jalfrezi and Chicken Vindaloo. As for breads and rice...just too much choice, but we have always gone with Garlic Nan or Laccha Paratha with Mutter pullao. This place is highly recommended and we can't wait to go back again...
Read moreThe food was luke warm and tasted OK!! The major problem we were having with this restaurant was not the food but it was that drainage cover underneath our table!!
How can you eat without thinking of that drainage underneath your feet????!!! We'd really tried hard not to think about it too much but my daughter who was sitting directly above the drain cover told me there was a slight smell coming out from there as she was eating!!!
Let me make a suggestion to the owner of this restaurant, I know that you cannot move the drain cover but at least you can put a plastic mat on top of it, and put a bigger table on that space so no one will notice...
