I rarely visit Yuen Long area, but since I was going to Mai Po for an eco-tour, I grabbed this chance to visit Accro Coffee.
Accro Coffee is a homey cafe. I was lucky to grab a seat at bar table on a busy Saturday afternoon,as well as adore the cute toys and coffee brewing equipment.
Since I visited Accro Coffee on my own, I couldn’t finish the famous waffle (whole portion) on my own, so I opted for another dessert on the menu - Tofu and Red Bean Mousse Cake. The cake was so smooth! Tofu and red bean made a really great combination, especially for summer! Light and refreshing! Yum!
And of course I got a coffee, how can I not! I am not a black coffee person, as I don’t get used to the bitterness of black coffee. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a try, thinking that this might be the place where my perception could be changed, and I was right!
This Washed Bolivia El Floripondio was absolutely fantastic! As described on the menu, it’s a floral coffee with cherries and berries aroma, as well as chocolate and honey black tea. I am such a newbie to black coffee, I couldn’t taste all the listed flavor, but I could definitely taste and enjoy the floral and fruity aroma in the coffee. Very enjoyable indeed even for a white coffee person. Definitely...
Read moreGorgeous café with a dim and moody ambience and beautiful plate and cupware decór! The waiting time ranges from around 15 to 30 minutes when busy, as they have a relatively fast turnover and customers can only stay up to 90 minutes.
There is a minimum charge of one drink OR one food item. While some of their specialty coffee brews can be relatively expensive ($100+), there are still many affordable picks for those less seasoned in the caffeine scene.
I tried the mocha with rose syrup for $38 and the fig yoghurt mousse cake for $30.
The mocha was delightful and the rose flavour complemented the sweetness of the drink well. As for the fig yoghurt mousse cake, I personally enjoyed it for its mildly sweet and fruity flavour. The cake has a very delicate taste that feels very light on the stomach yet still satisfying for those with a sweet tooth. However, a friend of mine who also tried the cake said that it was lacking in the fig flavour it so boasted in the name, and would have preferred if it tasted stronger.
Overall, a wonderful experience and would recommend anyone in the area to go for the combination of chill ambience, and delicious...
Read morepoor waiting arrangement :( 4 ppls arrived at 845pm, no seat, registered on the waiting list 10 mins later, 2 customers left, the waiter asked two of us come in first but cannot tell when will be the 2 other two seats available. So we let the 2 customers behind us come in first. Another 10 mins later, another 2 customers left, the waiter again asked two of us to come in first while two of us need to wait outside. Again the waiter couldn't tell when will be the next two available seats. :( After 30 mins of waiting, we left extremely disappoingly without getting in. Can the cafe arrange that total four seats for us instead of asking two of us to come in and two of us waiting outside? I never experienced café or restaurant making such bizarre arrangements. Extremely...
