📍Childhood @Yuen Long, Hong Kong 🖤好食 (quality):😋😋😋😋😋 🤍環境 (environment): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🤎服務 (service): 💗💗💗💗💗 Affordable and yummy Japanese food located in Yuen Long!
Their resto has a lot of decorations of one piece and other classic old anime, reminding me of some of my favourite childhood shows. Also, their menu has a lot of tempting options like skewers and set meals. This time, I tried:
厚燒玉子 Thick roasted tamagoyaki They are so fulfilling and soft, I loved it! It is more on the sweet side but I loved every bite of it.
大阪燒 Okonomiyaki This is so satisfying with all the fillings, sauces and flakes on top! Totally kept going back for more bites. It is quite filling, perfect to share between two or three people.
香烤雞扒定食 Grilled Chicken Set meal Oh, the chicken was nicely grilled! For the set meals, you could add $10 HKD to change to a soup udon/‘cat rice’/tea rice, which we changed it to soup udon. The soup udon was topped with seaweed, quite nice in combination with the chicken. The set meal also comes with appetizers, hot tea, miso soup, it is quite a big spread!
招牌蒲燒鰻魚定食 Signature Kabayaki eel set meal The eel was cooked perfectly and covered with a yummy sauce. I kept going back for more. We upgraded the rice to their signature ‘cat rice’. It was a mixture of rice with butter, soy sauce and other ingredients, it was worth a try!
Their price range is between $70-100 for a set meal (that is quite big portion), it is quite cheap! Come have some yummy Japanese food! Thank you for the yummy food and the great...

After queuing for about 20 minutes for a table for 2, suddenly a group of 3 came up. They told a waiter “a table for 3”. The waiter immediately assigned them a table which was supposed to be ready for us since someone just finished their meals. I was shocked, although I understand time and space are expensive in Hong Kong, they would serve as many customers as they can. Can't he explains more instead of asking me like “you two right? Wait for about 10 more minutes.”?
Anyways, after additional 10 minutes, we got a table eventually. I started reading the food menu for about 2 or 3 minutes. The same waiter came up and told me like “you have only an hour here, so choose the food and order them quickly”. I was shocked again. I thought I might finally enjoy my dinner after waiting for 20 mins plus 10 mins extra waiting time without rushing anyone and accepting the arrangement of allowing people jump into the line. Now, you told me I spent 3 mins which is too much time on reading the menus and choosing the food!? It was so rude to me. Unacceptable, really.
The last thing I would say to the waiter is. Please just tell us early if we aren’t welcome, we wouldn’t get into the restaurant. We would haven't gotten into it. To be honest, the food wasn’t bad, but the waiter are. Think carefully before...
