First of all, do not order the appetizer chicken wings. Your money will go down the drain.
Secondly, service is so-so. Maybe it’s during holidays and servers weren’t motivated. I can understand that, I guess. I’m very surprised that such high end restaurant, although it’s at the airport setting, has servers like dai pai dong. (April 2, 7pm) I guess I was expecting a little more since it’s a well-known restaurant in hk.
Today ate there again just now and have a little stomachache now :/ the soy chicken and bbq rice two-dish combo, I won’t recommend it. But their bbq pork indeed does have texture like that, cause the one I got from the HK side store also is like that. Don’t have the best cha sui imo. But try a little portion if you are curious. I don’t like the service. Typical hkg style. Not friendly. Mediocre. Def room for improvement if the staff wants to. I mean ——- review from prev time
Food is so-so. Below par. Maybe I was too excited to try the corn sauce with fried fish. But it was underwhelming.
All in all I won’t return.
Chicken wing is a joke. Just took a bite. And had a plate...
Read moreIn short - if you’re willing to try some roast goose with a side serving of pretentious attitude and pay a premium to standard airport prices, go for it!
It was entertaining to watch the boss ignore another customer politely flagging the waitress down. Do you want people to try ya goose or not?! Plumpish waitress cleaning lady should consider some meditation between her kitchen to serving trips. May give her some motivation to do better.
In all seriousness though, they do marinate their meat well. Chicken was a bit too overcooked. The ginger onion was well presented with good proportion. Soup was ok, I’ve had better ones. The plum sauce was an abomination. Be prepared to pay for fancy Icelandic glacial still water. Though I’m not too sure that if you choose to get ice cubes, whether or not this is Icelandic sourced ice or “regular water” ice - that would detract from the total value wouldn’t it?… I’ll never know.
Ambience was great but will need to rely on more than the real estate if you’re trying to run a nice...
Read moreFood was definitely overpriced! Was our transit flight and last day in HK so just thought we opted for some nice food & comfortable seats so decided let's go for Yung Kee. Between 3 of us, we ordered a mix combo of BBQ roast set $198hkd and what came out surprised my eyes..It was so tiny plate of meat LOL (for the price!) The bowl of rice was big but the BBQ roast was like mini. The goose was normal the char siew was dry. We also ordered a bokchoy with mushroom which was normal and grilled ribs was so tough ..If someone had dentures..The dentures would have fallen off biting the tough ribs! Overall was horrible lunch and for the price we ended up with $821HKD!! No alcohol. Just 3x lemonade. This was an unforgettable lunch. I don't mind paying the price if the food was nice but very disappointed it wasn't nice and overly priced. Service was normal though. We were served pretty quick and the wait for food was normal considering it was their busy lunch hour. But..First and last...
