Soooo good. This will be definitely my go-to for western food at HKG airport. FAMILY FRIENDLY: Yes, there is a restaurant and separate bar (across the 5 feet walk way) PET FRIENDLY: Unsure PARKING: Nope, this is in the HKG airport FOOD/MENU: I get you’re supposed to try the local cuisine but if you grew up on it and have it readily available at home… sometimes you miss western food. This is definitely the place to go if you’re missing it. Black Pepper Burger (Australian grass-fed beef, cracked pepper, raclette cheese, rocket, onion jam) HKD149.00: 5 Stars – Drool worthy if you know what I mean. The black pepper crust on the patty didn’t overwhelm the taste of beef and the raclette. The onion jam had a great taste and not too sweet. DRINKS: Old Fashioned (bourbon, sugar, Angostura bitters) HKD110: 5 Stars – Great bartender as the drink tasted amazing but you could still taste the alcohol behind it (does that make sense?) RESTAURANT/SERVICE: Random find while wandering around the food court in HKG airport looking for coffee. Its on the 2nd floor, close to when you get through security. I spotted the bar while standing in the middle of the food court trying to decide what to get. It’s a nice little bar standing out in the very white background. Once I got seated, that’s when I even notice the restaurant portion behind me LOL The bartender was very attentive, he greeted me and took my order, check in, all while servicing the little bistro side tables.

I was really excited to hear that a Beef and Liberty was opening a branch in the airport. After the Wan Chai branch closed down there wasn't a branch that was convenient for me to go. My review is strictly for this branch of Beef and Liberty. I have eaten at the Shanghai branch more times than so can count and would give that location a much higher score. Food: 3.5 stars Service: 2.5 stars Overall: 3.25 stars Recommendations: Mac and cheese bites, classic burger The food here isn't as good as the branches located on the Hong Kong island. I get that they need to have quicker turnover and prepare food quickly because folks need to make their flights. I've had the lobster sandwich and beyond meat burgers during my two visits here. The lobster sandwich was pretty disappointing. They used too much mayonnaise and it was bit over seasoned with salt. The bread was on point still and that part of the burger is where Beef and Liberty really shines. The garden salad I ordered had the opposite problem. It was under dressed and didn't have any flavour to it. They also didn't add anything to the salad, it was just salad leaves and dressing. I haven't had the hamburger here yet so you may discount the critique to some extent. I have had their burgers in other locations and they are very good. They use pasture raised (ie grass fed) beef and the quality does come through. Hopefully the hamburgers are better than the non beef options.

Wanted to try this joint after hearing the rave reviews. The loaded chill fries we had were pretty good but really this place is all about the burgers so let's dig in. I had the cheese and bacon. The ingredients were all top notch, burger was cooked to a delectable pink, and the bun was nicely toasted. All in all a solid burger, my one quibble being that it seemed under seasoned. This could be the lighter char on the patty or simply a lack of sufficient seasoning. Considering the high grade beef on show here I can see why they'd want be cautious with the seasoning but still. Only other flaw was that the caramelized onions while done well lacked much of a flavour punch. In the absence of sauce these guys should have had a bigger impact but were surprisingly innocuous. This joint would have been a five star but for the lack of seasoning and the high price take it down a notch. Loaded fries and a burger was 40AUD. And this isn't the usual airport premium, these prices are consistent at all their venues. Still you do pay for quality and I'd happily make this a special occasion burger of choice.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had for dining in at this city, which is a shocker considering it’s in the HK Airport international flight departure zone.

We walked in and as no waiter was available to serve so we just took a seat and waited patiently.

However it took more than 5mins of raising hands quietly and also actively engaging the waitress to just get a simple menu.

No water or no basic greeting, just dumped the menu on the table with a very dull face.

All along what I could see was that the waitress had laughs with other customers, while I raised my hand for another 5mins without any service attempt. Nobody came, we were practically right there as they collected empty plates at nearby tables. Even “excuse me” voice went to deaf ears, I don’t understand how a customer was left raising his arm for such a long time left in the cold, on a Saturday morning just serving a few tables.

Waitress preferred to socialize with another table and chit chat instead of even collecting my order lol, right down the most unpleasant experience ever.

We told the waitress our unhappiness and decided to just leave regrettably, unable to even tryout their Christmas special.

It’s a case of a potentially promising great burger messed up by non-existent table service, what a shame.

Update in response to your reply: I’ve written a complaint to HK Airport about this incident and you would be able to follow up from...
