Dined here just recently. The food was good though. However, what concerns us was the guy manager on that day. He seemed so arrogant and unfit for the position.
We were following up on our orders to a female waiter and it was then the guy manager who came back to us. After telling us that the expected serving time would be around 15 minutes, he then added “Do you even know your order?” I mean what’s that comment for? But, we just brushed it off and patiently waited for our orders.
Minutes after, a guy foreigner had a dispute with the same guy manager over tissues. The restaurant only provides 1 piece of wet tissue per customer. The foreigner asked for an extra tissue and was surprised that he was charged 20HKD for it. Although, the foreigner seemed willing to pay, he suggested that the restaurant should have provided more tissues (if not wet, the dry ones since those would be less expensive and also, all other restaurants in HK are giving tissues for free). But then, to our shock the guy manager replied, “Would you pay for everyone else’s tissue?” 😳 And then it goes on even at the cashier, the foreigner calmly asked on how long was the guy manager in the customer service industry. But then the guy manager just replied “Why would I tell you that?” For me, he could have just answered, “I’m sorry but I am not comfortable in giving you that information.”
And that is when we knew there is something odd with the guy manager. He is quite fluent in English so I don’t think that’s just a language barrier thing.
It’s just unfortunate that the rest of the crew were doing a great job especially the lady at the front door calling customers in (she was great and energetic) and yet the manager...
Read moreOne of the most terrible experience over years - I booked tables for 20 people earlier and on the day when we arrived for lunch, some of us couldn't get tables as other people occupied. and the dishes were served so late, 40-50 min later. When I complained this to the owner, he confessed that there was a fire in the kitchen last night so they had to cook dish in other place (c. 100 meter away) and deliver. I was so upset because this messed up the company outing I organized. Some of colleagues had to leave without lunch as they couldn't wait that long. The owner was so mean and irresponsbile. He should have told me in advance so that I could come up with a back up plan. ** I just saw a reply from the manager below. The point was that he didn't tell me in advance that the restaurant was not in a position to take large # of customers because of kitchen problem. He even didn't warn me on the day that serving of meal will be delayed seriously. Very dishonest....
Read moreWe chose to have lunch here thanks to the warm, friendly, and inviting staff who immediately made us feel welcome.
This spot mainly serves Japanese cuisine, and it offers a wide selection of favorites like katsu, teppanyaki, teriyaki, and tenderloin. They also have fried rice dishes for those craving something with a Chinese twist.
The price point is quite affordable, especially considering it’s located in one of the most popular tourist areas in Hong Kong.
What we tried: • Chicken Fried Rice – 5/5 Generous toppings and packed with flavor. A must-try! • Chicken Teriyaki – 4/5 Tasty and well-cooked, though a bit too oily. • Katsu with Curry Omelet Rice – 3.5/5 The curry flavor was a bit overwhelming, overshadowing the katsu. • Tenderloin with Rice – 4/5 Tender and flavorful, but slightly heavy on the garlic. • Fried Siu Mai – 4/5 Crispy and tasty, although it had a fish ball-like taste. • Fried Shrimp – 5/5 Perfectly cooked and delicious. Highly...
